What’s In My Trash? July 2019

Well July was a month I took a really hectic drive across country with my best friend and had a fucking blast but because of that I hardly used up any products and barely have any pictures because I was much more focused on living life this month then anything to do with this blog its really been a crazy up and down summer for me and like I just need a break from everything. So you know what ever just gotta keep on doing because as much as I want a break that is not in the cards for me.

Skincare (7)

Skin Food Black Sugar Mask this is not the kind of mask I generally like it is super sticky and and sugar granules that are really hard to wash off. This did make my skin feel and look a lot more clear after I used it. So even though I didn’t enjoy using it it did make my skin look nice.

Repurchase: Maybe

Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream I don’t like this eye cream I feel like it doesn’t do anything and the applicator is really annoying to use.

Repurchase: No

Primary Raw Do You 2 Step Milk Peeling Kit this did nothing. I am not even sure what it was supposed to do. So pointless.

Repurchase: No

MidFlower Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Sheet Mask this felt really nice on and it fit my face really well. I enjoyed it but I have too many sheet masks and this seems pricey for me at $2.50

Repurchase: No

L.A. Fresh Really Pretty O.G Makeup Remover Wipe got this free some place it didn’t even take off all my LIGHTLY tinted sunscreen so this is a no. I have tried a few L.A. Fresh generic makeup removing wipes none of them are good.

Repurchase: No

Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream I REALLY liked this cream I don’t know if it really qualifies as a moisturizer but it feels like my skin looks and feels brighter after I use this cream I really like it a lot.

Repurchase: Maybe, it is expensive

Nyx Honey Dew Me Up this never worked on my face I found it too sticky and it never sank in so I ended up using it as a neck and chest moisturizer and weirdly enough I loved it as that I thought my chest blemishes cleared up a good bit while I was using this. It is much to expensive though $9 for a third of an ounce is absurd.

Repurchase: No

Random (2)

Crabtree & Evelyn Verbena Lavender Conditioner I used this to shave I like hotel conditioners to shave when I am traveling because it is quick easy and there. This smelled nice.

Repurchase: No

Axe Phoenix Antiperspirant I don’t like the scent of this and I don’t feel like it works well I feel like it wears off after a few hours. But These little travel ones were on clearance for so cheap that I couldn’t pass them up for traveling. I can suffer through.

Repurchase: No

Home Scents (4)

Bath and Body Works Wallflower in Key Lime Pie I loved this so much it smelled so good it smelt like a light and fruity and lime but with a bit of sweetness I loved it so much.

Repurchase: Yes

Bath and Body Works Hot Cocoa and Cream Mini Candle my favorite candle scent ever. I prefer the full size candles to these minis though so probably won’t repurchase the minis.

Repurchase: Not this size

Bath and Body Works Orange Creamsicle Candle this did not have a strong enough throw for me. I wanted more orange and more vanilla.

Repurchase: No

Fortune Cookie Soap Company Wax Tart in Pink Ladies I finally have used up the last of these this was too floral for me to truly enjoy but not so floral that it was unusable. I am glad that it is done though. FCS waxes burn for along time so I do really like them.

Repurchase: No

Lip (1)

Softlips Lip Protectant in Tropical Coconut I loved this this is the first Softlips chapstick that I truly enjoyed this smelled and tasted so so good. I love that warm coconut sunscreen type vibe. This also felt really nice and smooth on my lips.

Repurchase: Yes

Makeup (1)

Stila Huge Extreme Lash Mascara one of my most favorite mascaras it gives a lot of volume and curl and length and it is really black and thickening I love it.

Repurchase: Eventually if I ever work through all the mascaras I have

Perfume (2)

Juicy Couture Mini Spray La La got this with a purchase of another perfume and just used it up in a few days on a trip. I like La La a lot it is one of my more favorite Juicy Couture Perfumes.

Repurchase: No

Givenchy Very Irresistible this didn’t give me an allergic reaction despite having rose in it but it did give me a headache so I would not wear again.

Repurchase: No

Haircare (1)

AG Cleansing Cream I like this cleansing cream enough to use it while I am traveling but I don’t feel like it does enough for my hair to want to purchase it in a full size.

Repurchase: No

Declutter (5)

Body Prescriptions Micellar Foaming Cleanser I did not like this at all it felt very stripping on my face but also like it wasn’t cleaning at the same time. Just kinda sucked.

Pur Big Look Waterproof Mascara ugh this is awful it looks like nothing on my lashes it smudges horribly and because it is waterproof it is really hard to take off despite the fact that is smudges.

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Kohl Kajal Eyeliner Trio Green Eyes (Purple) could this name be any longer? This comes in a three pack with a green and a black I believe. The color is super pretty this nice bright shimmer purple but it takes a lot of pressure to apply and it smudges and fades off relatively quickly and I just can’t find a way to make it work for me.

Sugar Contour De Force Mini Highlighter in 01 Champagne Champion this is fine but I have so many highlighters and this just isn’t special enough for me to keep it is just an average champagne highlighter. Kiko Long Lasting Stick in 25 I love these eyeshadow sticks and they stay creamy a really long time and they don’t crease or get weird on my eyelids. I just am not into this really light grey/taupe color anymore I legit have this in like ten other colors though.

So very few things used up this month but that’s ok I know August will be better.

Sephora Play!

There is a small survey that Sephora has you take that helps Sephora curate a box to your needs. There is also a card included in the box for a complimentary mini makeover and 50 extra points if you purchase something in store and now online too.

This was the month of stuff in my bag getting absorbed by people in my life lol

Ren Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic

Full Size: 250 ml

Full Size Cost: $35

Sample Size: 50 ml

Value: $7

I think I am going to like this alot. This is something you have to use over time to see results but my skin was feeling really dry and like there was a bunch of dead skin that wasn’t sloughing off so I used this and it definitly took that feeling away but as for glow that would take time. It did leave my skin feeling a bit tight but I can combat that with a moisturizer.

Shiseido ControlledChaos Mascaraink

Full Size: 11.5 ml

Full Size Cost: $25

Sample Size: 4 ml

Value: $8.70

This has a brush with super spaced out thin bristles so I am hoping this does give that really all over the place messy rocker eyelashes type look that I really go for some times that perfectly undone kinda look I like and I really like Shiseido products.

Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer

Full Size: 45 ml

Full Size Cost: $30

Sample Size: 4 ml

Value: $2.67

Milk packaging appeals to me so much and makes me want everything even if it is products like this that serve no purpose for me. This is a gripping primer and it is quite sticky but it does set and it smooth when it dries so you wont be sticky all day. I don’t wear foundation often and rarely the kind that is full coverage enough that you would notice if it is wearing off. I will keep it around because it is pretty and maybe I will use it.

Atelier Cologne Clementine California Perfume

Full Size: 100 ml

Full Size Cost: $135

Sample Size: 2 ml

Value: $2.70

I love this perfume it is one of my favorite super pricey perfumes this smells like oranges and citrus but not in an orange juice way I love this perfume so much.

Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser

Full Size: 125 ml

Full Size Cost: $34

Sample Size: 15 ml

Value: $4.08

This my gf claimed which is fine because I have tried this before and I hate it. Makes my skin feel sticky and gross and not clean at all.

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Triple Detox Shampoo

Full Size: 160 ml

Full Size Cost: $28

Sample Size: 30 ml

Value: $5.25

This is a hair and scalp clarifying type shampoo I would have tried this because I like that for like a once a month once every two month cleanse but my dad got all excited and really wanted it so I let him have it. He felt it was very important for everyone to know that the shampoo is black so cute. He liked it though.

Pretty average bag like this the kind of products every one has and doesn’t need more of but there were cool brands like Shiseido and Milk in it this month so that makes it better.

Macy’s Beauty Box June 2019 Subscription Box Review

Macy’s Beauty Box

Cost: $15

Cycle: Every Month

What is it: Every month you will get a bag, a $5 off coupon (sometimes $10), 5 deluxe samples and 1 bonus sample. Why not just say 6? I don’t get it.

All the brands will be brands you can find in Macy’s which is cool since they sell Mac and a lot of other brands that are never to rarely in subscription boxes.

The cool thing about the coupon is that it is good in stores and online (beauty ships free at Macy’s) also Macy’s does have sales and $5 products so if you are strategic you can score a free product every month. Depending on your state you may still have to pay tax but it is still basically free.

This month is really interesting from Macy’s instead of a makeup bag we got a brush roll (of questionable quality). And the gel squishy for pads for your high heels.

This brush roll is really small the seeming isn’t great because you can see it on the other side where it should be shiny and smooth.

Chloe Nomade Perfume

Full Size: 30 ml

Full Size Cost: $132

Sample Size: 1.2 ml

Value: $5.28

This is a floral mixed with moss and plum and it works for me but I wouldn’t ever buy a full size since there are pricey perfumes I like so much more then this but I am happy to use it up.

Fancy Feet By Foot Petals Ball of Foot Gel Cushions

Full Size: 1 pair

Full Size Cost: $4.98

Sample Size: 1 pair

Value: $4.98

I am really loving this weird addition of a non beauty item it is just fun to be like ooh what weird thing am I going to get next. These are the kinda thing you always need when you don’t have them around and are running late to some party and you heels are killing you so this is a great thing to just have around.

Elizabeth Arden Retinol Ceramide Capsules

Full Size: 30 capsules

Full Size Cost: $48

Sample Size: 7 capsules

Value: $11.20

I don’t know what the benefit to having your retinol in little capsules is but ok. I want to start using retinol but it is also summer and it makes you more sun sensitive so I am probably going to hold off until fall.

Sunday Riley C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C + Tumeric Face Oil

Full Size: 35 ml

Full Size Cost: $80

Sample Size: 3 ml

Value: $6.86

I thought this used to exist with out the new hot ingredient of turmeric am I crazy? Like all Sunday Riley oils this is very thick but it does feel really ice on the ski it absorbed well after a few minutes and didn’t make me feel greasy or sticky. I like this alot but I am sure there are cheaper vitamin c oils that work well too.

Kiehl’s Tumeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque

Full Size: 100 ml

Full Size Cost: $42

Sample Size: 14 ml

Value: $5.88

I am super excited to try this it smells so fresh and good and fruity and it looks like deviled eggs inside lol.

Lancome Genifique Youth Activating Eye Cream

Full Size: 0.5 oz

Full Size Cost: $67

Sample Size: 0.2 oz

Value: $26.80

This was supposed to be like a tiny tube of sunscreen. I much prefer this expensive eye cream. I like the Genifique line it feels nice and feels like it is working but it is hella pricey so I wouldn’t buy it. I am happy to have this eye cream this is enough for like 2 months at least if not more.

Ahava DeadSea Water Mineral Body Lotion

Full Size: 200 ml

Full Size Cost: $29

Sample Size: 40 ml

Value: $5.80

This lotion tricked me and I am angry. I thought this would smell like all their other lotions i have tried in the blue tubes you know light and slightly oceany and lovely. BUT NO this smells like strong as heavy floral grandma instant headache death. it is horrible. It also has a lighter texture then the other lotions which is fine but this was so bad I had to wash my hands to get the scent off.

I was happy with this month’s box there is almost a whole really pricey nighttime skincare routine in there which is always nice to get stuff you feel like you can use together. The lotion can go fuck itself for tricking me
