Well slightly delayed empties post because I was away the first part of this month. I did really really bad on empties this month. I missed my 1 product a day goal. Shit happens but I used up so much on my trip that December will make up for November. I did use up a fair bit of makeup in November which always feels like a win for me even when it is mostly mascara.

Peter Thomas Roth Max Complexion Correction Pads I wanted something that was going to work better and be better for my skin then like an Oxy pad and while these are great the ingredients aren’t any better and then have added fragrance so maybe actually worse ingredients? I really like a harsh toning pad sometimes my skin just really needs it. So I will search on for the perfect pad but as of now I still think Oxy Pads might be the best. These just aren’t worth the price. I actually have a toner from Olay that I am using that feels almost identical to these pads I may soak some pads in that and see if I can diy these pads. I’ll keep you updated if I do that

I have another sample of this that I think Noam going to save until summer and see if it works better for me in the heat.

Ilia Lipstick in In My Room I didn’t like an of the other samples I tried from Ilia so there is no reason for me to keep this and try it.
Clinique Liquid Facial Soap This is a perfectly good face soap but it burns the crap out of my eyes if it gets in them so I don’t like using it at all my eyes are sensitive and it isn’t worth the risk to me.
Cargo Swimmables Eye Pencil in 10 Dorado Beach this isn’t bad per say but it isn’t great either the formula is just fine. This color is just blah though. It barely shows up on my skin and is just a sparkely nothing on my me if you have a really light skin tone I could see this being a really pretty warm shade that isn’t overwhelming but if you are in the light/medium skintone or deeper I don’t see this working for you.
Benefit Gimme Brow in 3 I will start with saying this is totally not a good color for me but I decided to just give it a shot and see what I really thought of this type of product and formula and all that since the universe keeps sending me these damn things. I hate it it felt and tome looked like I had weird gooey mascara in my eyes I don’t really need that kind of volume in my brows I don’t like that look so just no and now I firmly know that I don’t like this just like I knew I wouldn’t.

Wet n Wild Megaliner Liquid Eyeliner in Trim with Lace I really like the Megaliners because they are amazing like the first two times you use them so when I need a colored liner that I know I’m only going to use once or twice these are a perfect cheap options. I also love the very stiff hard “brush” applicator I find it really user friendly. After 2 or so uses they start to thin out and lose their opacity which isn’t great. I will keep buying them but probably not the white one anymore because I need a white that can stick around a little longer because I use white a bit more frequently but other colors I will still buy.

Too Cool for School Dinoplatz Escalator Mascara this is one of those mascara where you can twist the brush into different positions which is cool. The packaging is so adorable with the dinosaurs on it I love it. This is also a really pretty mascara and it definitely lasts all day but it is so impossibly hard to take off eve with my best makeup removers.

Beauty For Real I-Line in Black Magic I love their eyeliners they are comfortable richly pigmented so easy to put on they don’t break and dry out like a lot of retractable eyeliners do. I will probably go through the hassle of locating and buying this despite the hassle and price.

Morphe Crease Fluff Brush from the Eye Slay set this brush sucked from the beginning and now it is just shedding and falling apart and it is scratchy and not good at picking up or applying shadow it just all around was awful. None of the brushes from that set were really that good.
Origins Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream I think there are actually two different eye creams in this line I might be wrong. I am actually using one up right now and I don’t really like it so I am decluttering the new one. This is not hydrating is doesn’t depuff it does brighten but only because this is tinted and shimmery so it looks like you put a shimmer over your puffy dark circles which is not a good look at all.
Absolute NY Nano Liner this proved really hard to use it was not like firm enough to get a nice application it was all flimsy and not super pigmented.
Deproce Cleanbello Collagen Essential Moisture Cream I could not stand the smell on this to even try to use it more then twice. It has a really strong baby powder smell that lingers. I hate the smell of baby powder I know most people like it but I can’t stand it, it gives me such a headache.

Bath and Body Works Winter Candy Apple Fine Fragrance Mist I don’t love the winter candy apple scent it smells very middle school to me but I believe I got this free and my gf liked it on me so I would use it when I was at her house and now it is all used up. I didn’t like how the tube didn’t meet the bottom fully it like is off at an angle so there was a little bit at the bottom that was so hard to try to get sprayed out.

Granted you can really use anything for that.

Korres Golden Krocus Ageless Saffron Elixer this is one of those things that when you get the sample it’s so exciting because this is like a $90 product or something else equally ridiculous. I felt like a friggen princess using this but a little does not go a long way and this packaging meant you couldn’t quite get every little bit out there is probably 1 more use in the dropper and bottle that are just stuck. This really made my skin look awesome so bright and smooth and just healthy looking but still soft and matte like not all greasy and gross. It is just so damn expensive this is something that in like a few years I can see myself buying but I can’t justify such expensive skincare right now.

Walgreens Tea Tree Oil I like tea tree oil for really tough breakouts and especially for body breakouts. Wet n’ Wild Gel Balm in Rule I was dying to try these and I got a tinted one and a clear one the clear one isn’t that bad but this is just kinda messy and gets all over my face and since it is purple you can see it.
Temptu Liquid Glow this is amazingly gorgeous when you first put it on but like disappears into the abyss about 10 minutes later this is like exclusively for photos and I don’t have time for that, really it is because I don’t have space for keeping products I will never use.
Sephora Mud Mask I just have never loved this having tried it a few times I just know it won’t get used.
Fortune Cookie Soap Company thing? I have no idea what this is and that is why it is so important I get myself to regularly clean out my drawers I have no idea what this is but I found it all mushed up and it needs to go. Oops.
Quai Wave Spray this is sticky even for a wave spray and I don’t use wave sprays so even though I did use this I tried It just isn’t for me.
Simple Micellar Cleansing water I have two of these and I don’t love micellar waters so even though I want to try it I don’t need two.
Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment (3) I am so over Glamglow mask I don’t feel like for the pricey they are doing as much for my skin as they should be I liked them at first because it felt really luxe to be using such an expensive mask but I have since tried so much stuff that is so much better that these are a no.

Butter London Double Decker Lashes Mascara this was a really awesome mascara it gave me so much volume and curl, not so much length though, I really enjoyed this mascara. It is a clumpy dry formula so this did goop up and dry out a little quicker then I would like so in the future I will try to get the travel size if possible.

Urban Decay Trouble Maker Mascara I had two mascara wins which is amazing to me I like this one more then the Butter London one but I do love them both. This makes my lashes literally double the length without clumping, I hate clumpy lashes on me. This mascara gives me the long fluttery look that I love and the brush has really nice separated bristles so it doesn’t get all gooped up. The only down side is this dries on my eyelashes like cement so my eyelashes are really dry and hard and it is hard to wash off but it is worth it for the look. It will flake if you rub your eyes but if you’re good about not doing that it doesn’t flake.

Smashbox Liquid Metal Liquid Lipstick in Crimson Chrome I can’t get over how gorgeous this looks like it is mesmerizingly red and shiny and metallic and pretty I just can’t wear it. It is super sticky and thick on the lips I mean it shiny and pretty and opaque on the lips but it is so sticky and gets on everything and I can’t be worrying about my lipstick all the time. It also stains the shit out of your skin (not your lips).

Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar this has like no coverage what so ever like none and if you build it up it gets kinda cakey.

Algenist Reveal Concentrated Color Correcting Drops in Blue I did not think I would like this but I did it went on smooth didn’t break me out and really evened out my skin tone.

Bath and Body Works Recharge Body Cream I really enjoyed the scent of this too bad it was a limited edition winter scent I have the body wash as well that I am saving since it really is a more of a Christmasy scent. I have found I don’t love the body creams from Bath and Body Works I find them to be really sticky and heavy and not sink in to my skin well so I will not repurchase body creams from them anymore. I do have a couple to use up though.

Victoria Secret Hand Cream this smelled like straight cotton even though it was supposed to Acai. I didn’t like this hand cream at all I didn’t like the smell or how greasy my hands felt after using it.

Fortune Cookie Soap Company Best Cup of Coffee Ever Whipped Cream I love this scent it is maple syrup and coffee, kinda Elf themed. It smelled so good I have had it forever using only little bits so I could save it as long as possible bit it has been like 4 or 5 years and it was finally starting to turn so I used it up be for it went bad.

Bath and Body Works White Mocha Kiss Shower gel I hated using this but that was my own fault. In the bottle it smelled like a white mocha latte type of scent but In the shower it only smelled of orchids. I saw the orchid note but ignored it so it is my fault I just didn’t expect it to be so strong.

Tom Ford Eau de Soleil Blanc this smells so so good like the fancy version of At the Beach and In the Sun from Bath and Body Works. It is also super super pricey. I may try to get this with a sampler set from Sephora but I don’t know yet it is a very very strong perfume and I think I need to see how it wears over a few days sometimes strong perfumes can irritate me after a few days.

Dolce & Gabbana Dolce Garden this smelled really nice a light sweet coconut scent but it was way to light this would not stick on my skin so I wouldn’t buy the perfume with how light it is.

Punky Colors Hair Dye Alpine Green I used this to do a green blue mermaid ombre lol I like that these dyes because they smell fruity rather than chemically which is nice. I don’t love the narrow jar these come in because when you are all covered in dye it is really hard to get it out as you need it. This was enough to dye about 6 inches of hair 2 times. This month I used the green for some final touch ups because I will probably be going back to a normal color at the end of August.
Repurchase: Maybe, I like Manic Panic more
IGK Smoke & Mirrors Conditioning Cleansing Oil I wasn’t a fan of the smell but as a cleansing conditioner it was alright I will be exploring other options still. It was fine but not great.

Marc Anthony Refreshing Coconut Clear Dry Shampoo it is clear so if you hate white cast this is for you it does not leave a trace on my fairly dark hair. It smells really nice like coconuts too but it doesn’t do enough for me I want my dry shampoo to really absorb oil and not leave my hair feeling sticky this is light so it doesn’t dry out my hair but it doesn’t absorb enough oil for my purposes. I would use it again but I wouldn’t buy it.

Well 4 items away from my goal (SPOILER ALERT: I have already hit it in these first few August days). I don’t know that I will double my goal but that is sorta the over ambitious hope at this point. I am really going to try and push myself to use up alot of the little samples I have around. I am starting to get over the weird anxiety I have about using up products because I am a big numbers and goals person so having a concrete number to strive for really makes me excited every time I use something up. Using up makeup is still a hard thing for me and I don’t get as excited because I am a huge collector of everything so I feel like I am losing a piece of my collection and that makes me sad but I can accept that about myself.
