What’s In My Trash? April 2019

This was a really massive month for empties. I also did a decent declutter of my palettes but I didn’t take a picture and have given all the things I decluttered away oops.

Also I finally got my wax warmer set up again so I had a ton of candles this month because I was able to finally melt the wax out of them.

Hey Honey Take it off Exfoliating Peel Off Mask I really liked this it was the least uncomfortable to peel off peel off mask I have ever used and it made my skin feel super soft. I also weirdly really liked that it was clear. This was great. I wish there had been more than one use in this tube.

Repurchase: Maybe

Almay Eye Makeup Remover Pads I had a love hate with these they worked really well ad were really gentle to take makeup off but they were so oily they left straight oily grease all over my face that was actually pretty difficult to wash off. So I don’t know about these maybe just to have in an emergency or for travel when bringing and oil cleanser is a hassle but I wouldn’t want these regularly.

Borghese Radiante Revitalize and Firm Mask this made my face so oily and greasy I hated it.

Repurchase: No

Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Age Defying Exfoliator this is a decent micro scrub but I much prefer the Derma E one and would never buy this over that.

Drunk Elephant Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser I didn’t really like this. It was very gentle and doesn’t hurt my eyes but it is nothing special for the price and the packaging drove me nuts. It has like a twist cap that just lets the product pour out but it leaks and makes a mess and ugh.

Repurchase: No

FCS Rosy Cheeks Twinkle Tonic Toner Pads these were just kinda eh I saw no benefits from these.

Repurchase: No

Roc Retinol Correxion Sensitive Eye Cream this was a good eye cream, I feel like this is a nice starter retinol/eye cream.

Repurchase: No

Philosophy Purity Made Simple Pore Extractor Exfoliating Clay Mask this is ok but it doesn’t wow me. It dries very hard and gritty and clay like.

Repurchase: No

Yensa Pumpkin Turmeric 2 in 1 Radiance Polishing Mask I didn’t really like this at all it got all separated in the tube so the scrubby bits all sunk to the bottom and clogged up the tube making it impossible to squeeze out so I ended up having to cut it open stir it and then apply this to my face. It smelled strongly like a pumpkin spice latte which I was not super thrilled with like it smelled like a candle. It also kinda felt very warm on my skin. I don’t feel like it exfoliated very well either mostly because of how it separated.

Repurchase: No

Garnier Skin Active Clean + Purifying Oil-Free Cleansing Towelettes These were fine I liked the green ones from this line more.

Repurchase: No

Lancome Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate I guess this serum was ok it felt nice but I wasn’t able to use it long enough to see if it did anything. I don’t know that this is worth the ridiculous $178 dollar price tag.

Repurchase: No

Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream I wanted to like this cream because it does have a nice feel to it and it is supposed to be so great for your skin. It did not work for me at all though. It was way way to heavy for my skin I could not get it to absorb into my skin it would take forever and I ended up mostly just using it on my neck where that bothers me less.

Medusa’s Makeup Lip Paint Remover I didn’t like this at all it worked but it was sticky and tasted terrible and made a huge mess because of it being sticky and getting all over the bottle.

Fortune Cookie Soap Company Lil’ Blue OCD Hand Sanitizer these are my favorite hand sanitizers because I feel clean without being dried out and they are always fun colors and smell nice and last me forever.

Home Scents (10)

Fortune Cookie Soap Company Wax Melt in Pink Ladies (I think) I had three of these I have one left the scent on this is not my favorite a little too feminine for me but they aren’t so bad that I won’t use them up.

Repurchase: No

Bath and Body Works Sugared Snickerdoodle Candle I liked this a lot it was very warm and sweet with a bit of cinnamon in it. Good scent throw too.

Repurchase: Yes

Vanilla Pumpkin Candle this came from the dollar spot (where nothing is a dollar) at Target I mostly got this because I liked the container it. It had a strong cinnamon scent and for a tiny candle the scent throw wasn’t awful I would pick up these candles again when they are in cute containers but I wouldn’t go out of my way at the same time.

Bath and Body Works Lavender Cacao Candle I really liked this candle a lot when lavender is mixed with a sweet scent I like it a lot better this so this was a chocolate lavender and it was a really nice sweet and calming scent. The Test Lab candles always have good scents and throws.

Repurchase: Yes, if I could

Dw Home Vanilla Pumpkin Latte this was a great candle it has a wood wick so it crackles as it burns which is so awesome it also had a great scent throw it was a a very strong vanilla scent and the pumpkin latte was a nice under note.

Repurchase: Yes

Bath and Body Works Pink Sangria Candle these are the wallflower tester candles that will sometimes be part of the Semi Annual Sale I loved the sweet fruity scent this had it actually smelled a bit like pink lemonade to me. But the scent throw wasn’t great on this you had to be pretty close to smell it definitely didn’t fill my room. I feel like the mini candles they sell actually can fill a room.

Repurchase: No

Bath and Body Works Spiced Gingerbread Candle I loved this it was warm and sweet smelling.

Repurchase: Yes

Bath and Body Works Candle But First Coffee this was disappointing because it smells like a delicious cup of coffee for the first ¾ of the candle and then the last ¼ smells like this weird floral mixed with coffee that I think has to do with how dark and weird the wax turned. I feel very mixed about this candle.

Repurchase: I don’t know, I have another I will see how that burns first

Bath and Body Works Gooey Marshmallow Candle this was ok sweet but not the strongest scent throw.

Repurchase: Maybe

Cobblestone Candle in Lemon Basil I liked the scent on this candle but the wicks sucked and they were so close together that this stopped burning half way through and I couldn’t use it anymore. So I would never buy anything else from them. I think I might have one more but maybe not I can’t remember and don’t feel like going through my whole candle stock to look.

Blistex Medicated Berry Balm this was just ok It was very berry flavored and very thick on the lips but I didn’t find it healing or moisturizing.

Repurchase: No

Hershey Kisses Lip Balm in Cherry this was cherry but like a sweeter warmer cherry not quite a chocolate cherry like the Hershey Kisses but trying. This was another really thick sticky type of lip balm that was really tinted left my lips quite pink. Also with these style of lip balms there is a ton left in the base that you can’t easily use up. The container is super cute though I am totally going to display it.

Repurchase: No

Sephora Tangerine Lip Balm this pissed me off so much how can you say it’s a tangerine lip balm and then it isn’t flavored like tangerine?! It was totally unflavored. It was fine as a lip balm it was smooth and hydrating. But I think it might have made me break out it was kinda hard to tell some times if I used this a lot for many days in a row I would get a pimple by my mouth but that might not have been from this as well who knows. They also don’t sell this anymore but I would not buy any of them because this was disappointing.

Colourpop Amber Crystal Setting Spray this was just eh it made my makeup come together the way like Mac Fix Plus would but it wasn’t a great setting spray to make makeup last.

Repurchase: No

Apocalyptic Beauty Badass Setting Spray in Hot Cocoa I loved the scent of this it really smells like hot chocolate. It is also a really good setting spray it held my makeup in place and it wasn’t sticky it was really good but the spray sucks. It was hard to spray and when it got to the end it would just like spit and it was so inconsistent. I would be willing to go to the effort of buying this and decanting it into a better sprayer because this is a good setting spray and comes in tons of cool scents.

Mac Fix+ I did like this not as a setting spray I don’t feel like it really set my makeup much but I liked it to add moisture back to my look if my makeup was looking dry or to make my highlight pop or to dampen a sponge I was using to blend out or erase something. I figured out how to like pop the prayer out of the bottle so I can reuse the spray because it is a really really nice mister.

Bliss Lemon and Sage Hand Cream I loved the scent of this and I loved the body wash that had come with this but I did not like this hand cream at all. It was really thick and heavy.

Fortune Cookie Soap Company Tell Me About It… Stud Dry Oil Spray I love dry oil sprays and body oils for after showering and the FCS ones are my favorite formulas that I have ever tried. They leave you feeling moisturizers and slick without feeling sticky and greasy. This was a drier formula so if you are super adverse to that oil feeling this might be a good starting place since it immediately sinks into the skin. The scent of this was super masculine though and very strong that part I was not a fan of. This was a good formula but I personally prefer the regular oil formula and a different scent.

Repurchase: No

Da Bomb Fun Size Fizzers in Fairy Bomb this was very florally smelling and I expected it to be sweet I don’t know why. This was fun it changed the bath pink and there was a little fairy charm inside.

Repurchase: No, I don’t take a lot of baths

Haircare (3)

Fortune Cookie Soap Company Eat Me Deep Conditioner I don’t like the FCS deep conditioners they are a little too heavy and almost waxy feeling for my hair. I love the Eat Me scent though it is so so sweet and yummy it smells amazing on. It weirdly smells too much and almost like off and gross in the jar but on you get a potent delicious smell.

Repurchase: No

Bumble and Bumble Bb. Don’t Blow It (H)air Styler this is a styling cream that yo put into your air dry hair and I always air dry my hair so I thought I would try it out. It made my hair  hold its curl/wave more than my hair normally wood but it also made my hair feel pretty heavy. This little tube was also not quite enough for my hair I probably could have used both little tubes that I have. This was ehh I’ll use up the other tube but that it is.

Repurchase: No

Not Your Mother’s Royal Honey & Kalahari Desert Melon Leave-in Conditioner I didn’t like this at all the scent was so so the actual product was a bit sticky and heavy in my hair without being super moisturizing. Also the spray on this little travel size sucked like it barely came out. The spray on the full size works fine but the travel size one does not work at all.

Declutter (29)

Smoke and Mirrors Glow Palette this was so pretty and I wanted this to work so bad but this has no glow it is supposed to be a highlighter but it is just matte and I would never use this as eyeshadow it is just sorta a pointless product I mean it is pigmented it could be used as eyeshadow I just don’t have a need for it I wanted it to be a cool blue and purple highlighter but it ended up just putting a matte blue powder on y face I was so disappointed. I even tried using it as a base for my colored highlights but it added too much color underneath. So sad. I really like the Smoke and Mirrors brand that you get at Five Below they have some really decent quality cheap makeup so I have found with what I have tried.

Smoke & Mirrors Mini Bronzer Stick in St. Tropez ugh this month really makes it look like I don’t like this brand but I really do. This little bronzer stick just isn’t a great color for me it is a bit too light and a bit to orange mixed with the fact that I don’t like cream bronzers. It came in a set with a bunch of highlighter sticks that I do really love so this was just a package deal. I gave it a shot but it isn’t great for me.

Ulta Beauty Eye Crayon in Little White Lies I got this a long long time ago to try to use it as white eyeshadow base and I have used it and tried a ton back when I bought it a few years ago when white bases were a lot harder to come by.  Recently I re-found it and tried it again a few times and its terrible as an eye crayon and as a base it is to sticky to like use as shadow on its own and it doesn’t really hold on to eyeshadow I put on top of it. This really did no favors for me so it has got to go I have much better things I don’t need to waste my time with this.

Bite Beauty Matte Lip Crayon in Glace I have decided that this color looks awful on my it is just too pink and I find the formula a bit sticky so I just don’t want to force myself to make this work.

Pur Quick Pro Portables Day Dream Palette I thought this would be so great for travel because it is the size of a credit card but the colors are so boring and neutral that I never touched it. So I need to find it a new home. Of all the palettes I decluttered this month this is the only one I bought the rest came in subscription boxes so it makes more sense that they weren’t my perfect palette since I didn’t pick them out for myself.

Colourpop Golden State of Mind Palette the formula on this is terrible its chunky and gritty it bled out into the palette the colors are just boring they aren’t impressive enough to justify that many shimmers in a palette.

Pur x Boxycharm Palette formula on this was not that great the looks were very neutral and muted on the eyes which is not my taste. I find Pur to be very hit or miss on formula sometimes great sometimes awful. The only real stand out shade was the blue and I have plenty of blues in better formulas.

Nyx Happy Birthday Palette this was an Ulta Birthday gift at one point the formula on this is actually really really good but these aren’t shades I gravitate too and I can dupe them out in other palettes that I have and love so this is going to move on as well.

Nyx Sweet Cheeks Blush Palette I never touched this I don’t wear blush. I thought I could use this as eyeshadow but never did so I need to let it go to make space for palettes I do use.

Winky Lux Kitten Palette cute as hell packaging and when you look at the shades it looks like the palette will be special but it comes off on the eyes as very generic. The only really “special” shade was the one duochrome but it wasn’t even that well done it was just my first experience with a real duochrome I now have better so I don’t need this no matter how cute the packaging is.

Neutrogena Beach Defense Sunscreen SPF 70 I am allergic to this as I am most sunscreens so I gave this to my mom so she can use it.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Volume II I don’t do neutral palettes and I have other neutral or neutral leaning palettes that I decided to keep over this one this just never did it for me again I was only really keeping it because I love the packaging but that isn’t a good reason to keep a palette.

It Cosmetics CC Cream in Tan (2) I just do not like It Cosmetics base products they sit horribly on my skin they look so heavy they break me out so bad, it might be the spf but it might not. Tan is also too dark for me.  It Cosmetics products work really well on my mom though maybe because her skin is a lot drier then mine I don’t know. I wear them I look like I’m hundred I use them on her and she looks 10 years younger Idk.

It Cosmetics CC Cream in Medium (2) same as above but this is more my shade.

Sephora Bright Future Skin Tint in 25 Beige this looked so cakey and dry and sat on top of my skin and broke apart really quickly as well. I bought this super cheap on clearance at Sephora and I can see why it was on clearance.

Origins Ginzing Energy-Boosting Tinted Moisturizer this was way to light for me it is also really sticky on the skin and leaves like a very sunscreeny white cast.

Kiko Mat Mousse in 100 Warm Rose this is a weird one first the color was never perfect for me they definitely matched me wrong but beside that I had a weird love hate with this foundation. It says oil free but legit is super oily liquidy which I thought was weird. This has the softest most touchable soft matte feel on the skin but it looks very matte and foundation like. It did photograph well but it never looked good in person so I am letting it go.

Rimmel Insta Conceal & Correct this doesn’t have enough pigment to do any real concealing it is just adding another layer of product to my face and I so rarely color correct that if I do I want something I really like.

Catrice All Round Concealer Palette this was not good the formula is like waxy and sticky and hard to blend.

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Illumination Concealer in Medium this is so bad I don’t think they even make this anymore. I really dislike It Cosmetics base products this is even worse than the regular Bye Bye Under Eyes (which I have and keep because I use it when I do my mom’s makeup and it works beautifully on her it just looks terrible on me). This is thick and sticky and is so hard to blend in sinks into every pore and line under your eyes as well as having sparkle in it. Who would want this?

Elf Tone Correcting Powder this is too light for me.

Clinique Stay Matte Universal Blotting Powder this is way to white it is like a ghost powder and it is so stiff and hard to get on a brush.

Ulta Pressed Setting Powder in Translucent like the Clinique this is very white and it has major hard pan for what ever reason this was not a great powder on the skin either.

Bare Minerals Original Mineral Veil this I didn’t like it is quite pink tinged and left my skin looking really dry and pink almost like I was really ill.

Too Faced Melted Matte In Queen B in decluttering/reorganizing I found that I have two of these I don’t like it enough to need two.

Girlactik Matte Lip Paint in Posh love the formula but not into the very peanut buttery color of this on me. L

MDM Flow in Retro I like the formula it is very light and thin but it is too pink for me.

Grande Cosmetics GrandeLips Hydrating Lip Plumper I have two of these I don’t wear gloss enough to need two. Sephora Cream Lip Stain in The Pink from the Minnie Mouse Collection nice formula I have lots of the Sephora Cream Lip Stains but this hot pink is not for me.

Another month gone and some more empties. Anyone else so thrilled that the weather is getting warmer and the days longer? I know I am always makes me feel more positive.

Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser this was ok nothing special not a great cleanser not a great exfoliator just not really great at anything. There is probably one more use in there if I cut it open but I am not desperate enough to need to do that. Murad is one of those brands that seems like it’s all going to work so well and I always want to try stuff but it is so expensive but then it’s really hit or miss with me from what I have tried.

Repurchase: No

Origins Clear Improvements Charcoal Honey Mask to Purify and Nourish Mask this was not as good as the original one that does not have honey in it. It was also really hard to get off my skin. I found this to not leave my skin as dry but it also didn’t get rid  of blemishes as well as the original did. The pretty gold tinted black color of this mask was nice though.

Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub this is my favorite scrub I have ever used it smells like lemons and the particles are so tiny but in like a nice cream base it leaves my skin feeling so smooth this is so much better than the expensive Dr. Brandt one.

First Aid Beauty Ginger & Tumeric Vitamin C Jelly Mask I really really liked this mask. It left my face feeling bright and moisturizered and soft with out being greasy or gross. I really really like this and would definitely consider buying.

The Face Shop Chia Seed Sheet Mask my skin was feeling super irritated so I figure this would be a good generically soothing and moisturizing mask that might calm it a bit and it did. There wasn’t anything super special about it or bad about it.

Repurchase: No

South Mane Eye Gel I have one set of these left I like them just fine they ad moisture and make my under eyes feel nice but they aren’t the greatest eye gels ever. I tried wearing them while folding laundry ad they didn’t stick on that well through that much movement. These are more like a sit and read or watch tv type of eye gel.

Repurchase: No

Mario Badescu Facial Spray in Orange and Sage I really liked this the orange blossom and sage scent is definitely for me I love the orange plus herbal scent. I use this just because I like the geeral feeling of spraying some moisture on my face and as a replacement for moisturizer when my skin is feeling too oil for moisturizer. I will buy more of this.

Murad Outsmart Acne Clarifying Treatment this wasn’t that great I mean it was only 1% salicylic acid and didn’t work as well as my favorite the clean and clear one that has 2% for like 6 dollars this is just too expensive for what it is.

BodyographyPro Makeup Brush Cleanser I don’t really like liquid cleansers I only use them for my sponges and my oval brushes. I don’t feel like this was great it didn’t really clean well but it also didn’t smell like pure alcohol like so many spray cleansers do.

Degree Motion Sense Deodorant Ultraclear this is my preferred line of deodorant.

Random sponge I can’t remember where you came from and I am so sad because I really really liked you L. This was a super soft and squishy little sponge that I liked to use with cream highlights and for erasing makeup mistakes. Sponge you will be missed RIP.

Sweet & Shimmer Marshmallow Mint Face & Body Wipes I love how these smell these were move vanilla mint then marshmallow but I love these little packs for like swatches or keeping in my car to wipe my hands stuff like that not for my actual face. I buy them every holiday season when they come out and always get excited for what the new scents are going to be every year.

Bath and Body Works Wallflower Cinnamon Caramel Swirl I liked this one a lot I got this on crazy couponed sale for 12 cents. This was nice and sweet but not overwhelming I liked it a lot. The wallflowers can be really hit or miss on where the scents actually work or not. Especially since I only really use it in a very small room.

Febreze Air Effects in Sugared Cranberry I liked this scent and it was good for freshening up linens.

Lucille & Co. Reviving Lemon Basil Room Spray I got this on a whim at Marshalls because I love Lemon and Basil scents and this did smell really really nice but it did not perform well. The scent did not last at all and was definitely not strong enough to cover up and other scents that may be around.

HG Global Lemon Bar Candle I got this in a three pack on Amazon as like a whim. It was an ok candle especially for the price. I don’t like that it doesn’t burn all the way to the end but oh well. I might repurchase these I might not.

Sweet & Shimmer Reed Diffuser in Winter Citrus this was cute but produced basically no scent.

L’occitane Verveine Icy Lip Balm this was like a lemon verbena flavor which I liked I a lot. Normally I would never spend this much on a lip balm but what happened was I was at an outlet mall on vacation and I didn’t have a lip balm for the trip and was panicking so I bought this. It lasted a really long time ad was nice but I don’t think they sell this anymore and even if they did I wasn’t so impressed that it would be worth repurchasing at that price point.

Carmex Classic Lip Balm I love Carmex but only I the normal chapstick tube I feel like it isn’t the same in the squeezey tube.

Makeup (3)

L’oreal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara in Midnight Black I liked this mascara a lot. It is really light and natural it does give that long fluttery butterfly like look which I like when I’m just throwing on some mascara and eyeliner but this is definitely only for light makeup looks this can’t hold up to a more dramatic eyeshadow look it just disappears. I liked it for the more natural easy light look.

L’oreal Unlimited Mascara in 235 Blackest Black I received this for free in exchange for an honest review/post on instagram. I liked this it added a lot of length and curl to my lashes as well as looked really pretty on my makeup stand because it stands up and looks kinda classy and old school. I also like how the brush handle bends it makes it a lot easier to apply. I don’t like how quickly this got all gloopy and thick in the bottle and I am not into rehydrating my mascaras.

Urban Decay Primer Potion this is like the og primer that everyone knows and loves it’s a great primer it holds on to shadow it keeps them from creasing it lasts forever like this tiny ass tube took me like 2 years to use its insane. My only thing with it currently is I’m sorta not into the primers that dry down clear I am more into like a white or really blanked out type of primer at the moment. But I do love this primer I have another and I’m sure I will buy more in the future.

Delectable Triple Moisture Body Lotion I Coconut & Cream I love the scent of this it is like a warm coconut scent that kinda reminds me of coconuts and cookies idk. I love the scent but the lotion is kinda meh it is really thick and moisturizing but it leaves kinda of a residue on my skin that I am not a fan of.

Basin Satsuma Shea Scrub the Basin scrubs are just so amazing they are so soft but they scrub your skin so nicely you feel so soft and smooth and silk ad moisturized after ugh so good. And this lasted me a really long time like 8/9 months with anywhere from 1 to 4 uses a month. So good. The Satsuma scent is my favorite it is such a bright yummy citrus. There is an orange vanilla one I have my eye on now, but I have a shit ton of scrubs I NEED to get through first. I am going to save the container it is really nice and keeps the water from the shower out of the product and I am going to put my scrubs that come in paper bags (like why?) in it.

Fortune Cookie Soap Company Off We Go Body Wash this wasn’t my favorite scent but the body wash was good.

Gourmand Pistachio Brulee Perfume this is what I call an at home perfume. The kind of perfume that doesn’t have a strong scent or last very long. This had a light sweet smell but like very faint and disappears after like a few minutes. I don’t like perfumes like that. This is the kind of thing I would spray on just to hang out at home in.

Lancome Hydra Zen Anti-Stress Moisturizing Cream Gel this gave me an allergic reaction it has something related to roses in it. Suffice to say it stressed the fuck out of my skin rather than de stressing it. The last thing I needed was an allergic reaction the night I used this so I am extra mad at this product.

Chella Tantalizing Taupe Eyebrow Cream this is too hard to get out of the tiny little end cap that the product is in and it ends up looking like nothing or is all goopy in my eyebrows. It was weirdly a good color for me but definitely not a product for me.

Ulra Limitless Lashes this mascara smudges horribly and doesn’t really do anything for my lashes. I used this a few times and could not find a way to make it work for me and not smudge.

Z Skin Acne Spot Treatment I tried this for a long time but it does nothing to treat or prevent spots at all so this has to go it is a waste of my time. It is also a really thick white cream that is hard to rub in.

Note Cosmetics Long Lash Mascara I am not one to like give up on a mascara after one use so that is how you know this is bad. Usually even if I hate a mascara I will power through and use it since I get rid of them pretty frequently because germs and I don’t want any issues with my eyes. This was awful I like a dry mascara formula but this was so dry that like barely anything came off on my lashes and it kinda stuck them together but not in a clump thick way but like they were combed bad way this was truly awful no length no volume and it legit straightened my naturally curly lashes out this was terrible.

Welcome to the first empties post of the new year!! Started off the month really strong! So first I am going to go into what the goals and new things I’ll be doing with my empties this year and then I will go into the products I used up.

So first this years goal is 600 products. Instead of a monthly goal my goal will be to use up or move out 600 products this year.

I also will be keeping track of the approximate value of the products I use up and the approximate amount I paid for the products I used up. And category totals. Just for funsies and because I am really curious as to how much legit “money” I am going through each month.

I will calculate values the best I can there are going to be things that I can’t get or don’t know the values of. For how much I paid there are going to be plenty of things that I don’t know or remember but I will do my best. It is only an approximate value.

Bath and Body Works Sea You Soon Sea Minerals + Hyaluronic Acid Sheet Mask this is definitely not a high quality mask with amazing ingredients all the advertised ingredients are on the bottom of the ingredient list but it does feel nice on the skin. They don’t make this anymore you know how Bath and Body Works is like everything is friggen limited edition it is ridiculous. I would not repurchase even if I could because it is expensive for what it is but I didn’t hate it.

Origins RitualiTea Mind Over Mate Invigorating Powder Face Mask they don’t make this anymore and I am not really surprised. It smells awful like it smells like dog food and that smell is on your face. It is also really clumpy on your face and hard to remove and it like clumps up and makes a mess in your sink it was just gross. It did make my skin feel smooth and tight in a good way but there are far better masks. I am not shocked that this is no longer around.

Repurchase: No

Juice Beauty Hydrating Mist this was ok it wasn’t great it was refreshing but also sticky. This also claims to be a setting spray and a refreshing spray do not spray this over your makeup it is not a setting spray. It leaves your makeup sticky and it starts to rub off.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray Aloe, Cucumber, and Green Tea I didn’t really love this I have the new one with the sage and orange that just came out and then I like a lot. I don’t love the scent of cucumbers (I got food poisoning off cucumbers once and its kinda ruined them for me.) and aloe isn’t great for my skin personally so this is like not an ideal product. Everyone raves about this so I felt like I needed to try it. It wasn’t any better than any other spray I’ve used.

Repurchase: No

Garnier Skin Active Refreshing Remover Cleansing Towelettes these were pretty nice they were very soft didn’t leave my skin sticky. I really liked these.

First Aid Beauty Coconut Water Cream I didn’t really like this it was just kinda a meh cream and it didn’t even smell like coconuts.

Ren Evercalm Ultra Comforting Rescue Mask this is a good mask it really is but I have some mixed feelings about it. On the positive side it does good things for my skin it is really comforting if my skin is like freaking out like dry and oily and dehydrated but weird breakout in one spot and like all the things at once this really does help to just balance everything out and calm it all down. It also smells pretty comforting. What I hate about this is the textureof this mask. It goes on kinda like a clay mask which is fine but then as it warms up ad does its thing it turns into like a thick heavy oil grease type thing. It feels so heavy and slimey and it is kinda hard to wash off and I don’t like the slimey oily thick feeling of it. The fumes/scent as it makes this change also makes my eyes sting and water even though I can’t actually smell anything off it kinda weird. Idk how I feel about this I would use it again but I probably won’t buy it.

BioRepublic Pomegrante Crush Illuminating Fiber Mask I didn’t like this sheet mask at all. It left my face super super sticky which I hate.

NuFace Prep-n-Glow Dual Sided Cloth these are my favorite wipes I love them make my feels feel so clean and good but they are very expensive so I use them sparingly.

Pur The Grinch Mask Sampler Purple Pore Punisher this was ok it is a peel of mask it left my skin feeling smooth but it really didn’t do anything for my pores. This also has a really fruity scent to the mask not as bad and nauseating as the Glamglow one but enough that it needs to be noted. I mostly bought this because the ornament containers were adorable and I wanted them. The containers are definitely reusable.

Repurchase: No

Pur The Grinch Mask Sampler Soak It Up this was not that great this was not nearly as moisturizing as the Freeman mask or other hydrating masks I have tried.

The Face Shop Real Nature Mask in Olive I was worried that this would be greasy gross on but it was a great face mask my face felt refreshed and plumped and hydrated. It fit my face and sat on it well it didn’t have any scent it was really nice.

Repurchase: Yes

Global Beauty Care Sea Kelp Spa Treatment Mask this was a really goopy sheet mask there was so much serum on it it also fit my face terribly despite all that I really really liked it. It left my skin feeling really soft and hydrated. My skin/face/life felt so puffy and irritated and awful and after this mask everything just felt so much better. I am pretty sure this is like a super cheap and I have no idea where it came from but I liked it a lot.

No7 Lift & Luminate Triple Action Serum I hated this it smelled really weird like heavily fragranced with generic fancy skincare scent if anyone know what I am talking about also I felt like this didn’t do anything for my skin at all.

Repurchase: No

Dr. Jart+ Water Drop Hydrating Moisturizer this was insane it comes out like a gel but the second it touches your skin it melts into like legit water. It feels like water on the skin it is really cool and feels really light and nice and watery on the skin this is definitely more of a summer moisturizer the winter but I liked it. Even it if was slightly messy/drippy to apply.

Repurchase: Maybe

Dermalogica Age Smart Rapid Reveal Peel this was not at all uncomfortable or burn-y like I expected it to be. My skin was definitely much softer and smoother after but that was the only real benefit I have seen so far. So I don’t know that it is worth $8.50 a mask even though it was nice and made my skin soft.

Farmacy Honey Savior All-in-One Repair Salve this is just a honey based slave it is kinda like Vaseline but different texture serves the same kinda purpose though. I put this on my elbows and my lips. Honesty I used it to just use it up I found it chilling in a random drawer it didn’t belong in. This was ok but I have tried better healing salves like my fortune cookie ones or even Aquaphor.

Degree Motion Sense Deodorant Shower Clean Motion Sense deodorants are my favorite I feel like the scent really effects the effectiveness which I know is odd but hey what ever. I liked this one.

Hum Nutrition Daily Cleanse Vitamins can’t really tell much with only three days of vitamins but they didn’t make me feel sick or taste bad so that’s good.

Columbia Candle Supply White Tea with Blueberries Wax Melt I loved the scent of this. It had a great scent throw and I love a good blueberry scent. I don’t think they make this scent anymore which makes me really sad I went back on the Etsy shop to order some and they didn’t have a listing for this scent. The wax melts last forever from this company.

Columbia Candle Supply Blackberry Amber I was hoping the blackberry scent would overpower the amber scent and I would like this but it was not that way the amber scent was very heavy and I don’t like the very heavy warm feminine musk type scent of amber.

Bath and Body Works Hot Cocoa & Cream Wallflower 100% my most favorite scent I love it so so much. Smells like a Hershey’s bar.

Glow for a Cause Lip Love in Flirt this is one of those months where like all the open things run out at the same time. This was ok it had a nice feel on the lips but I wasn’t a huge fan of the color or the scent/flavor. It also was really messy because it melted pretty easily.

Softlips Tinted Lip Conditioner in Pearl I liked the feel and flavor of this sorta tingly menthol vanilla mint but I hate the pearl finish it is a full on frosted baby pink like I can only wear this to bed because it looks so bad.

Fresh Sugar Lip Caramel Hydrating Balm this was just eh it tasted goof but it was not hydrating at all like this was the opposite of a hydrating lip treatment it was more just a nice feeling balm that tasted and smelled good but did nothing at all for my lip health. I wanted to try this for awhile and was so excited to get it but I am glad I got to use it and see that I don’t really like it at all.

Lancôme Dual Finish Multi-Tasking Powder & Foundation in One All Day Wear this was a sample in a shade way way way to dark for me but I just chucked it on to see what the formula was like while I was doing chores around the house and I actually really liked how it sat on my skin and I like powder foundation a lot so this interests me.

Mac False Lashes Waterproof Mascara I’m pretty Eh about Mac Mascaras.

Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes I really liked and enjoyed using this when I would use it. It would make my lashes look so long and full and fluffy. I probably wouldn’t buy this one again because it is really pricey but I am really curious to try some other brands.

Smashbox Covershot Golden Hour Eye Palette Card Sample mostly I just wanted to see if this would even work and it did there was just enough shadow to do one eye look but I hate Smashbox eyeshadows they just don’t have the type of pigment and impact I want I have like two Covershot palettes and I am not a huge fan.

Mickey Mouse Honey Almond Scented Hand Cream well this was super adorable and the scent was weirdly comforting and nostalgic but the lotion is awful. It left my skin feeling so so dry. I have another on in a different scent and I will use it because its cute but it is not a good lotion at all.

Bath and Body Works Marshmallow Magic Body Cream I don’t love the body creams from Bath and Body Works I am trying to use them up. I loved this scent though. I would repurchase this scent if it ever came back.

Pacifica Lotion Wipes Malibu Lemon Blossom these kinda suck they have like no lotion one them barely any scent they are totally pointless.

Fortune Cookie Soap Company Aloe Me Body Whip in Good Zombie I loved the scent of this so so so much it was a caramel apple type scent and it just smelled like fall and Halloween and I loved it. Unfortunately I don’t love the Aloe Me Body Whips things that have to much Aloe in them actually dry my skin out my skin just does not like Aloe. So I am going to try to eliminate most of the aloe lotions I have barring the ones that smell too good to pass on.

Repurchase: No (But I’d buy anything I could in this scent)

Sweet & Shimmer Moisturizing Foot Mask in Salted Caramel this was fine its booties with lotion and it moisturizers your feet but it is not a whole lot different than throwing some lotion in fuzzy socks so it isn’t really worth the extra product to me.

Rituals The Ritual of Hammam Foaming Shower Gel this was ok I didn’t love the scent it was a little too heavy on the rosemary and I wasn’t feeling it I the shower. This comes out as like a gel and then foams up when it gets the slightest bit wet. It was a fine body wash but I was nothing to exciting.

Perfume (1)

Juicy Couture La La Perfume I love the scent on this one it is nice and light and great for summer. My only problem with it is that it does not stick on my skin at all it is gone after like an hour or two which sucks. I won’t seek this out since it has been discontinued but I wouldn’t be against buying a small size if it was a really good price. I do love it it just doesn’t work great for me. I always feel so accomplished when I use up a full size perfume.

Fortune Cookie Soap Restorative Hair Mask in Rebel Princess I didn’t love this hair mask it was quite thick and I don’t feel like my hair liked it that much it made my hair kinda fluffy in a bad way with not a ton of moisture.

Coco & Eve Like a Virgin Hair Coconut & Fig Masque this smelled more floral then of figs and coconuts this was only good for one use on my hair and didn’t do a whole lot for me. It made my hair feel soft and definitely less frizzy but didn’t add shine or any hydrating so only two of its four claims held true. This was just eh for me I have masks I like a lot better.

Living Proof No Frizz Nourishing Oil Treatment this was not the best oil I have every used it was weirdly dry ad greasy so it was too much of a fast drying oil for it to do my hair any good in the moisturizing department but greasy enough to leave my hair looking greasy. It didn’t do much for frizz either.

Talking about them as a set since I used them that way. This was a pretty good shampoo and conditioner it didn’t fry my hair out but it also didn’t make my hair glossy. It did give it a lot of volume but left it a bit static-y but it is also like -5 degrees out and the heat can also make my hair static-y so that might not be from this.

Fortune Cookie Soap Company Aloe Me Whipped Cream in Cap I don’t get along with the Aloe Mes they don’t work well for my skin so I am gifting most of these to my gf who does really like them. I only kept one full size one because I love the scent so much so I can at least use that up and get to enjoy the scent.

Fortune Cookie Soap Company Cooling Aloe Me Whipped Cream in Chilly Down this one actually is cooling and minty I really hated it, it made me feel so cold but my gf adored it so she’ll be happy.

Fortune Cookie Soap Company Spray Lotion in Aqua Scum I love the spray lotions but I am not fond of the smell so this is going off to my gf too she also loves Finding Nemo so she’ll like that.

I decluttered like 20+ random carded samples I had I am just counting them as one item.

Ulta Beauty Tinted Eye Primer in Satin Blush this I didn’t really get. Like why would I want a pink shimmer sheer eyebase. This is more like a very light sheer cream eyeshadow so idk weird. As a base it makes your eyeshadow get all chunky and odd. So no go.

Tarte eyeliner in Antique Gold this just doesn’t have enough pigment for me but they are very soft and pleasant to use. They don’t make this on anymore I got it in a set with a ton of other colors like 3 or 4 years ago.

Pur The Grinch Mask Sampler Dirty Detox this was totally unusable I don’t know if it dried up or that’s just how this mask is but it was like clay paste that just balled up in chunks and rolled off my face as I tried to put it on.

Juicy Couture Body Soufflee this is in the original perfume scent which is my least favorite scent that they made. The lotion is so strong like the scent is so overwhelming that I can’t use it it lingers for hours and hours. So if that is something you like you would love this and it is a pretty decent lotion but smelling that intense perfumey scent for so long makes me feel sick and gives me a headache.

~Cue Walk Down Memory Lane~

Urban Decay Floral Shadow Box remember when Urban decay palettes looked like this? I really miss old school Urban Decay style like I wish they do a little retro throwback collection I would eat that shit up. I mean this even came with sponge tipped applicators that I used since I didn’t know better. This was the first palette I ever bought and started a love (addiction) to makeup and Urban Decay. I am not actually decluttering it I am saving it for sentimental reasons but it is just too old and past its prime it isn’t useable any more so I am moving it out of my palette drawer. All the shades have major dips in them because I used it a lot because at one time for like 6 months this was my only palette and then I bought like 2 more Urban Decay Palettes and things slowly grew from there. The glitter fallout on all these shades was terrible but I like loved it so hard I did not even care that I had glitter on my face and in my contacts. I’d pair this up with super heavy eyeliner and I was good to go. I still rock the very heavy eyeliner but I like to think my eyeshadow choices have improved since then.
