like this it was too hard to rinse off my face it was a very sticky gel
formula. This might make a nice body scrub since the full size tube is large

Radiance Serum this legit did nothing and I used it for weeks plenty of time to

will declutter and pass along since this doesn’t work for me.

NuFace Prep-n-Glow Dual Sided Cloth these are my favorite. I like
the exfoliating side and then the softer side. They clean well are gentle but
still exfoliating.

Goldfaden MD Facial Detox Mask I really liked this mask a lot I felt like it did a lot to clear up my skin when I would be breaking out but it is a $65 mask like I just don’t ever see that being feasible to buy so I am super sad this is gone. teeth feel clean and my gums feel healthy. I am trying another one now but will
likely go back to this.

Clear Baby Wipes I picked these up because they were Super Cheap they were on
sale and I found a coupon I got then for a like a $1.00 maybe even less I don’t
remember. These were awful those I got them to remove swatches and they were not
great and they left cotton fuzzy bits all over my skin these would be horrible
for trying to clean up a kid I imagine. They are decently thick though.

Pacifica Cherry Kisses Hydrating Lipstick Wipes these are amazing and I don’t know why no one is talking about these. The are cherry flavored and like a hydrating wipe to take liquid lips off. They work really well and they taste good unlike a lot of removers and they don’t leave your lips in pain or dried out. They are just the best way to remove the lip colors that don’t want to come off I love them so much.

this had so much potential to be something I liked but it did not perform it
always came out so patchy ad inconsistent and that made it unusable because
sometimes it was all glitter sometimes it was nothing and sometimes it actually
came out with the color.

Liquid Eyeshadow In 304 Navy Yard so I really actually like these they have/had
I don’t think these are around anymore really interesting colors but they are a
bit finicky to work with they take a lot of blending and layering and fussing.
So I decided to keep the ones that had really interesting colors so I can use
them for liners or accents our whatever so this more normal shade one is going
because I needed to do a massive liquid/cream shadow declutter since I so
rarely reach for them.

Welcome to the first empties post of the new year!! Started off the month really strong! So first I am going to go into what the goals and new things I’ll be doing with my empties this year and then I will go into the products I used up.
So first this years goal is 600 products. Instead of a monthly goal my goal will be to use up or move out 600 products this year.
I also will be keeping track of the approximate value of the products I use up and the approximate amount I paid for the products I used up. And category totals. Just for funsies and because I am really curious as to how much legit “money” I am going through each month.
I will calculate values the best I can there are going to be things that I can’t get or don’t know the values of. For how much I paid there are going to be plenty of things that I don’t know or remember but I will do my best. It is only an approximate value.

Bath and Body Works Sea You Soon Sea Minerals + Hyaluronic Acid Sheet Mask this is definitely not a high quality mask with amazing ingredients all the advertised ingredients are on the bottom of the ingredient list but it does feel nice on the skin. They don’t make this anymore you know how Bath and Body Works is like everything is friggen limited edition it is ridiculous. I would not repurchase even if I could because it is expensive for what it is but I didn’t hate it.

Origins RitualiTea Mind Over Mate Invigorating Powder Face Mask
they don’t make this anymore and I am not really surprised. It smells awful
like it smells like dog food and that smell is on your face. It is also really
clumpy on your face and hard to remove and it like clumps up and makes a mess
in your sink it was just gross. It did make my skin feel smooth and tight in a
good way but there are far better masks. I am not shocked that this is no
longer around.

Juice Beauty Hydrating Mist this was ok it wasn’t great it
was refreshing but also sticky. This also claims to be a setting spray and a
refreshing spray do not spray this over your makeup it is not a setting spray.
It leaves your makeup sticky and it starts to rub off.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray Aloe, Cucumber, and Green Tea I didn’t
really love this I have the new one with the sage and orange that just came out
and then I like a lot. I don’t love the scent of cucumbers (I got food
poisoning off cucumbers once and its kinda ruined them for me.) and aloe isn’t
great for my skin personally so this is like not an ideal product. Everyone
raves about this so I felt like I needed to try it. It wasn’t any better than
any other spray I’ve used.

soft didn’t leave my skin sticky. I really liked these.

Ren Evercalm Ultra
Comforting Rescue Mask this is a good mask it really is but I have some mixed
feelings about it. On the positive side it does good things for my skin it is
really comforting if my skin is like freaking out like dry and oily and
dehydrated but weird breakout in one spot and like all the things at once this
really does help to just balance everything out and calm it all down. It also
smells pretty comforting. What I hate about this is the textureof this mask. It
goes on kinda like a clay mask which is fine but then as it warms up ad does
its thing it turns into like a thick heavy oil grease type thing. It feels so
heavy and slimey and it is kinda hard to wash off and I don’t like the slimey
oily thick feeling of it. The fumes/scent as it makes this change also makes my
eyes sting and water even though I can’t actually smell anything off it kinda
weird. Idk how I feel about this I would use it again but I probably won’t buy
it.

enough that it needs to be noted. I mostly bought this because the ornament
containers were adorable and I wanted them. The containers are definitely
reusable.

Soak It Up this was not that great this was not nearly as moisturizing as the
Freeman mask or other hydrating masks I have tried.

The Face Shop Real Nature Mask in Olive I was worried that
this would be greasy gross on but it was a great face mask my face felt
refreshed and plumped and hydrated. It fit my face and sat on it well it didn’t
have any scent it was really nice.

Global Beauty Care Sea Kelp Spa Treatment Mask this was a
really goopy sheet mask there was so much serum on it it also fit my face
terribly despite all that I really really liked it. It left my skin feeling
really soft and hydrated. My skin/face/life felt so puffy and irritated and
awful and after this mask everything just felt so much better. I am pretty sure
this is like a super cheap and I have no idea where it came from but I liked it
a lot.

No7 Lift & Luminate Triple Action Serum I hated this it
smelled really weird like heavily fragranced with generic fancy skincare scent
if anyone know what I am talking about also I felt like this didn’t do anything
for my skin at all.

Dr. Jart+ Water Drop Hydrating Moisturizer this was insane
it comes out like a gel but the second it touches your skin it melts into like
legit water. It feels like water on the skin it is really cool and feels really
light and nice and watery on the skin this is definitely more of a summer
moisturizer the winter but I liked it. Even it if was slightly messy/drippy to
apply.

Dermalogica Age Smart Rapid Reveal Peel this was not at all uncomfortable or burn-y like I expected it to be. My skin was definitely much softer and smoother after but that was the only real benefit I have seen so far. Gold this just doesn’t have enough pigment for me but they are very soft and
pleasant to use. They don’t make this on anymore I got it in a set with a ton
of other colors like 3 or 4 years ago.

Dirty Detox this was totally unusable I don’t know if it dried up or that’s
just how this mask is but it was like clay paste that just balled up in chunks
and rolled off my face as I tried to put it on.

this is in the original perfume scent which is my least favorite scent that
they made. The lotion is so strong like the scent is so overwhelming that I
can’t use it it lingers for hours and hours. So if that is something you like
you would love this and it is a pretty decent lotion but smelling that intense
perfumey scent for so long makes me feel sick and gives me a headache.

Urban Decay Floral Shadow Box remember when Urban decay palettes looked like this? I really miss old school Urban Decay style like I wish they do a little retro throwback collection I would eat that shit up. I mean this even came with sponge tipped applicators that I used since I didn’t know better. This was the first palette I ever bought and started a love (addiction) to makeup and Urban Decay. I am not actually decluttering it I am saving it for sentimental reasons but it is just too old and past its prime it isn’t useable any more so I am moving it out of my palette drawer. All the shades have major dips in them because I used it a lot because at one time for like 6 months this was my only palette and then I bought like 2 more Urban Decay Palettes and things slowly grew from there. The glitter fallout on all these shades was terrible but I like loved it so hard I did not even care that I had glitter on my face and in my contacts. I’d pair this up with super heavy eyeliner and I was good to go. I still rock the very heavy eyeliner but I like to think my eyeshadow choices have improved since then.
I finished out the year really strong here with 133 empties. Like so many that there is not big group picture because it wouldn’t all fit. Plus a bunch got thrown away when I was in Florida because I was not bringing trash home. So lets get into this because this is going to be a super long post. There will be year end wrap up at the end with a pie chart because math <3

I love the Ulta masks I have had nothing but good experiences with them. This
smelled looked and felt like gingerbread

softer after.

feel like it gives a good shave and it doesn’t like stick to my skin it just
immediately melts off. Worst of all is the “cooling” effect like it feels
stingy and it lasts I also hate the scent. I have an open one that I am
committed to using up but I just can’t use up 2 more.
Marc Jacobs Highliner Matte Gel Eye Crayon in Earthquake I
just don’t use brown eyeliners ever for any reason so like the fact that I kept
like 2 already means that others need to go. Even if they are expensive ones. I
also don’t love the Highliner formula as
much as everyone else seems to.

Matte this does not stay put on me it bleeds and runs all over my face it is

really hate black eye liner with glitter in it, it is a pet peeve of mine.

just isn’t great and the color is just sorta weird it is a golden dark purple
but it isn’t really pigmented enough.

are super soft but this is just a brown that I will never use that came in a

Precision Longwear Liner in Black this made my eyes really itchy and was hard
to use. The brush started fraying after only a few times I wasn’t a huge fan.
It is very long wearing though even though my eyes were itchy wearing it the
watering and rubbing didn’t cause it to smudge or rub off.

Eye Liner in Slate Grey this was awful the color is more like light taupe which
you can barely see and it faded into nothing within like two hours.

Eyeliner in Carbon Black this is awful kinda irritated my eyes and it would
wear off by like balling up and sticking in chunks on my waterliner super not
flattering.

Volumizing Shampoo in Fireys I won’t use this even though I tried to tell
myself I will so I am going to pass this along to someone who will use it.
Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow
Tint for Eyes in 04 Ample Amber I really don’t like these but I had so many so
I have a hard time decluttering them for some reason. This one is kinda dry now
but it was particularly bad. It is a shimmery wash of nothing on the eyes that
ends up falling out and making a mess. If I am going to use a stick shadow I
really expect it to be quick and easy to use and to stay in place that it kinda
the whole point of them.
Ulta Beauty Matte Lip Cream
in Allusive I really don’t like the formula on these even though the colors are
pretty. They are too creamy and messy and they never set down they are just
kinda thick and messy.
Maybelline Master Kajal Cream
Kohl Eyeliner in Onyx Rush I love Kohl eyeliner but it is so hard to find a
good one (my favorite was the one Victoria Secret one lol) this doesn’t go on
smooth and rubs off and smudges everywhere.
Absolute New York Lip Mousse
in Pin Up I like the formula but not so much the color so its going but I may
get more in other colors in the future. I am really into that like powder matte
feel lately and this has that.
Nicole Miller Tweezers these
didn’t grab shit they suck. Yes I know the picture is in the wrong spot for
this and the wash cloth below.
Five Below Wash Cloth these
are just eh the shape didn’t trill me for some reason so I am using the few I
have as travel washcloths until they are all throw out they were cheap.
L’oreal EverPure 6 in 1 Cleansing Balm at first I thought I
loved this thought I found a drugstore cowash I could be happy with but after a
few uses I realized it was making my hair so dry and tanglely and super
unmanageable and my hair is never like that. It also made my hair like shrink
up into nothing making it look way short.
My girlfriend on the other hand who has very dry very short hair really
liked this so if you have short hair
this could work for you. It wasn’t terrible on my roots but the rest of my hair
it was horrible on so I could see that. This will be moving on to her.
Covergirl Melting Pout in 105 Gel-Ful this are sticky and
patchy and this color is weird and light and just no I don’t like these.
Fortune Cookie Soap Company Liquid Highlighter in You Glow
Girl this isn’t bad but it isn’t worth the amount of work I need to put in to
use it when I have so many easier better options. This is a liquid highlighter
that you rollerball on to your face so it picks up really inconsistently and you
really need to blend it out and touch up spots and while pretty after all that
work I would want it to stay on a long time and it just doesn’t.
Kiss New York Truism Color Intense Lipstick in 18 Red Head
super pretty red color and a really interesting like Marquise Diamond shaped
bullet but this is just a messy cream lipstick and I don’t like that I like a
lipstick that stays put. I have Very similar reds that are less mess and smell
a hell of a lot better this has that very chemically old school lipstick smell
that I just can’t get down with when I have things I like a lot better.
Flower Lip Suede Velvet Lip Chubby in Red-dy to Bloom this
was good I concept but didn’t work out for me. I like the idea of a comfortable
velvet matte crayon but this is so freaking messy it slides all over is hard to
apply and like comes off on everything you touch or drink. And as it comes off
it leaves patches on your lips. I haven’t tried anything from Flower that I
have liked I might need to explore them some more.
BH Cosmetics Fan Brush I don’t use fan brushes often and I
have two from Tarte I like better.
Wet n Wild Duo Fiber Brush this is the only one from them I
have tried that I didn’t like and did not hold up well it went all frayed and
bent and awful. They are only a dollar and I LOVE the other ones in this white
handle line so not much of a loss.
Luxie 640 Pro Precision Tapered this is just too floppy for
me this is for a really light dusting of product and that doesn’t work for me
and how I like to do my makeup.
Tarte Tapered brush same problem as the Luxie 640 they are
both really pretty and they will be loved by someone else I am sure.
Clinique Flat Foundation Brush I just don’t really use flat
foundation brushes anymore. If I do it is to paint product on my face before I
use a sponge if I am being really extra so I kept one brush for that purpose.
Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Brush this is like the
most pointless brush it is an awkward size and flat but fluffy. I just couldn’t
find a use for this.
Royal and Langnickel Triad Concealer this was another that
is just an awkward size and shape for me I just don’t need an angled triangular
brush.
Crown Brush C465 this is like a glitter applicator I don’t
know I have like another one of these I rarely use it it is almost more work
than it is worth I may get rid of the other one too soon.
L’oreal Eyeliner Brushes (2) I used these as lip brushes for
a long time I have better lip brushes now these are just a little too soft.
They suck as eye liner brushes.
Ulta Beauty Crease Brush I don’t like domed crease brushes
and this was really had and dense. The domed shape really does nothing for my
eye shape and I will get rid of more in the future but I want to see if I can
make my others work in other ways since they are much softer.
Royal and Langnickel Moda Small Oval Brush I don’t need an oval brush this size it came in the pack with the brush I did want so here we are. It is really pretty just not for me.

Glow this is a tinted moisturizer and I love it. It provides just enough tint
to make my skin look alive and healthy. It also smells like lemon pound cake.

Pencil in Black Market I love the glide on pencils and Black Market is my
second favorite black them make second to Zero Black Market is a lot more matte
then Zero. I obviously have to keep this because there is an another shade

Electric Purple I didn’t like this one as much as some other the others I have
tried from Wet n Wild. This was not as opaque.

Balm I love this I have so many backups because they don’t make this anymore.
This is basically a light coverage BB cream but I love it when I want a little
evening out of my skin but something I can wear when I am out or going to be
taking pictures when it is hot out so that I have something on my skin but not
going to melt off my face and into my pores. This is my Disney World foundation
think perfect for that kinda stuff.

Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Extreme Shimmer Eyeliner Trio for Green Eyes in
Purple. This is a really pretty eyeliner it is this really lovely dark but
light purple with shimmer in it and I love the look but it is so hard to put on
it. It is really kinda stiff and you have to spend like ten minutes to get it
to show up on your eyes and the tip will break off because it is stiff. Which
is unfortunate because it is pretty.

myself but I would totally buy it as a gift I know that is weird.

I knew going in that Decluttered items and Skincare items would be my highest categories 54% between the two but i was surprised and proud of myself to see that Makeup came in third place with 9%. I really thought it was going to be Lotion or Bodycare it always feels like I am using those two groups up so fast.
I really like getting to see where i should be investing money and where I should not be buying so much and having such a massive stash. I have legit over 25 lip balms right now and I just do not go through them that face as this shows. I am not even going to get started on lotion I have a ton but I am very attached to it but I think I am going to try to let some go this year that are formulas I know I don’t love.
