Boxycharm June 2019 Subscription Box Review

What is it:

Boxycharm sends out 4 to 5 full size items every month which makes it really unique among the  boxes I subscribe to.  It is a nice change to get all full size products especially for the reasonable price of $21 which is usually less then the cost of one item in the box.

You can also review your products and get “charms” which are their versions of points that you can use as money off in their shop.

I am sorry every thing has been super late on the blog this month. I’ve really just mostly been wallowing in my sadness and haven’t felt like doing anything.

So as you can maybe notice I have a missing product. The Touch in Sol Primer that was supposed to be in this box and the thing I was most excited about didn’t end up making it into my box. Which is annoying. What was more annoying was the customer service experience.

So I emailed said I had a missing product. Got am auto response saying that they had a large volume of emails and someone would respond to me in 2 to 3 days. I also had made an order with my points in the Charm Shop before my box arrived and hadn’t gotten any updates about it after more then a week.

So I waited the 3 days and at like 3 to 4 days I got different auto response email saying that there was a high volume of emails and that I would get a response in 2 to 3 days. That had me a little confused and really unhappy but what ever. The next day still having not spoken to any representatives. I got one of those surveys they send out about how they did, almost as if they had closed my claim. So I rated them a 1 and put in the comments that they had not contacted me to solve my problem and that had not updated me on the status of my other order either. Withing an hour I got a response saying that my primer would be shipped with my next box and a shipping confirmation for my Charm Shop order. So we shall see if my primer arrives next month or not.

Skin & Co Truffle Therapy Whipped Cleansing Cream

This is my favorite thing in the box and it isn’t even full size, which they do on occasion. This was a nice creamy cleanser but doesn’t leave that creamy heavy filmy feel that alot of cream cleansers leave on my face. I will definitely use this all up.

Dirty Little Secret Lip Liner in Rosie Posie

Full Size Cost: $15

This is very pink swatched but it is very flattering on my lips I don’t have a lip liner this color which is cool but I am not hugely into this formula. When I swatched it it broke because it is soft but not creamy it is actually quite patchy and hard to get an even layer going on it isn’t a great experience to apply I don’t love this. Dominique Cosmetics Lemonade Lip Gloss in Peach Tea

Full Size: 5.5 ml

Full Size Cost: $17

This smells like cake and frosting I want to keep it for that reason but this is a gross color and a gross feeling on the lips to me. As a gloss hater this is everything I hate about a gloss in one. It is a milky pinky peach color that makes you look kinda sick it is very very thick and very very sticky. Swatched Below.

Tarte be you. naturally. Eyeshadow Palette

Typical Tarte stickers to cover up older packaging. This is boxy exclusive so you can’t buy it BUT I linked to a practically identical one that they have also sent me at some point. I think. All the round Tarte palettes expect the Make Believe in Yourself palette all look so boring and so similar. I plan to give this away. So I am not going to swatch it because there is no way in hell I would use this.

Customer service issues aside I really didn’t like this box at all this month. Two lip products that aren’t my taste a boring eyeshadow palette and then a cleanser and a primer that I didn’t receive.

Walmart Spring 2019 Beauty Box Subscription Review

What is it: Every season Walmart sends out a box of samples and sometimes coupons in their “free” subscription box. The box is a flat shipping rate of $5 and the box is considered free.  There are two categories of boxes “Trendsetter” which you receive if you provide a birth date that has you aged at under 35 and “Classic” if you provide a birth date that has you aged above 35.

The makeup bag instead of tons of products thing continues this quarter but still this box never disappoints me.

Pink and canvas makeup bag this time. It is cute and it does feel nice but I truly do not need more makeup bags.

I swear i have this mask in my stash some where. Sheet masks area always nice to get in this box it adds alot of value I feel. I like the Soo AE masks they all feel quite nice.

Botanic Bouquet Dry Shampoo Scent Stick in Tea Tree

This is so interesting I have never seen anything like this and I love getting really cool unique things. This is a dry shampoo stick that you rub i your hair and is really scented. This is in tea tree but it does come in other scents. This is one time use though so I am going to chuck this in my car for an emergency gross hair situation but very cool. I like want my hair to get gross in an emergency now just so I can try this.

Palmer’s Coconut Oil Body Oil

I love body oils after a shower and this is great to bring to travel since oils are something that are too hard to normally bring and this is perfect for that. This also smells really nice (I have a mini bottle of this) like more Palmer’s products do. Useful even if it is a tiny value.

Purely Inspired Collagen Peptides Vitality Blend

Things like this always freak me out because they always taste awful. Also I couldn’t find anything called Vitality Blend but it seems to be the same as the hair and skin one. This is nice as a way to see if you can handle the taste and texture with out having to buy a full size. I don’t know if I will try this or give it away.

Hello Antiplaque + Whitening Toothpaste

Who doesn’t need travel size toothpaste? I am getting quite the collection of these little Hello toothpastes this is a new flavor to me though. The tea tree oil in this is disconcerting because that would not be a good flavor.

Salon Perfect Ready Set Go Brow Kit

So this is a cute little kit that comes with some brow wax an angles brush with a spoolie and a brow powder kit that also has a little angled brush. I don’t love this. Only one of the colors in here even works for my brows. The wax pencil isn’t that great it is very sticky but some how also really slick all at the same time. I am going to play with these some more but I see this getting decluttered pretty soon.

Good value for a a “free” box. I always enjoy getting this box from Walmart it is fun I get weird things I would never pick out or have never seen. And it is almost always stuff I can and will use.

What is it: Every month Ipsy sends out a cute makeup bag of samples and full size items. You can review your bag for points that you can trade in for reward items. The rewards change often and the range between 300 points and 1000 points. You can get around 95 points every month.

I was so really really happy with all the things they sent me this month even though the bag itself was not my taste at all. I am super excited for next month because they are pairing with Tetris (I know super random) but who doesn’t love Tetris.

Always excited for some Korean skincare. This might be my next cleanser this sounds perfect for the summer if it does have some skin clearing abilities.

Innisfree Pore Clearing Clay Mask

A little of this goes a long way. Like I did a whole face of this mask and the mask in the jar is still at the top of the jar. This felt really comfortable on my face but id did leave my face a bit dry and tight when I took it off and it did a little for my pores but my skin is in such a bad state right now I don’t think there is much saving it.

F.A.R.A.H. 22E Shade and Blend Brush

I would not spend $22 dollars on this it feels really light and while it is soft it doesn’t feel $22 of quality it doesn’t even feel as nice as say a Luxie brush. Either way I love new brushes and am happy to have a double ended one one I find them to be really convenient.

Pixi by Petra Endless Silky Eye Pen in Sage Gold

This is super creamy and smooth. I don’t love the color it is a kinda meh olive green with gold glitter but it feels super nice and soft and creamy. Swatched Below.

The Beauty Crop Bronzer in Tanneries

This is a really nice warm bronzer brown color that does not pull orange. It is also really smooth and has a glow with out being shimmery. I really like this alot. I really like having tiny bronzers on had because I hate bringing all my giant bronzers places with me. Swatched Below.

I think of all the boxes I get this was the winner box for me this month I was really happy and will use everything in this month’s Ipsy which is always a nice thing.
