Macy’s Beauty Box September 2021 Subscription Box Review

What is it: Every month you will get a bag, a $5 off coupon (that used to it) with a purchase amount which I hate (SUCH A DOWNGRADE), 5 deluxe samples and 1 bonus sample. Why not just say 6? I don’t get it. Lately we have been getting between 6 and 8 items per month you never really know how many things you are going to get.

All the brands will be brands you can find in Macy’s which is cool since they sell Mac and a lot of other brands that are never to rarely seen in subscription boxes.

Wow Macy’s came super early this month.

Cute little day cream. Super tiny though this is like 3 uses tops. Kinda annoying.

Mineral Fusion Nail Lacquer in Sea Salt

This is a much prettier color on then in the bottle it is like a beigey pink, but this polish is awful. It is really streaky the brush is too big and bendy and picks up to much paint. It takes forever to dry and needs a ton of coats to look smooth. This is going right in the trash it is awful.

Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey

I hate this lipstick I have always hated it I think its so patchy I don’t love the color or the feel it is an overhyped lip balm. But it is nice so see Macy’s include this currently hard to get because it went viral on TikTok item. Swatched Below.

Bare Minerals Mineralist Lip Gloss Balm in Sincerity

I am fairly certain I am not going to like this. It is a sticky lip gloss. It is a pretty shade not too different from Black Honey to be honest.

Boxycharm August 2021 Subscription Box Review

What is it:

Boxycharm sends out 4 to 5 full size items every month which makes it really unique among the  boxes I subscribe to. It is a nice change to get all full size products especially for $25 which is usually less then the cost of one item in the box. Boxycharm also joined the customization train and you can choose between a few items to have one in your box for the month. I really like that because Boxycharm was getting to the point where I was only liking one thing in my box and even though the value was there the fun wasn’t anymore.

Truly Pineapple Haze CBD Glossy Lip Butter

The swirl is so cute! I have wanted to try this brand for so long but it seems so pricey for what it is so it is super exciting to me to get something from Truly. This feels really nice on really smooth it is glossy but not sticky and I really like it.

Dr Lili Fan Probiotic XLash Enhancer

This was my choice for the month. I want to see how it compares to Grande lash which I use and does work. This is more month but ti is always nice to compare things to your favorites to make sure the favorites hold up.

Frank Body Booty Drops

This is a firming body oil. I don’t think this is gona do anything because shit like this never works. And i just don’t like Frank Body marketing it seems cheesy and very backhanded idk.

Laura Geller The Casual Collection Eyeshadow Palette

These colors as you know are not my jam very neutral and everyday. I am sure they are super nice and smooth but I rather be able to pass this on.

I really liked the variety and the lip butter and the eyelash thing and the spray things we don’t every really get but also really low value and the palette which is a big value chunk is not my speed. Two months in a row I got a palette I won’t use.

I can’t decide how I feel about this perfume. Sometimes I smell it and like it Sometimes I smell it and hate it. But it has all notes I should like like pear. The little vial is so cute too.

I love this product I horde mini tubes of this I love how it smells, like lemon pound cake, and i love how glowing and nice it feels on my skin I am a really big fan of this product.

Laura Geller Baked Original Highlighter in French Vanilla

This is like the og highlighter from long before highlighters were a “thing” this is very soft very much only a glow when light is on it but because of that it does not emphasize texture. I had never tried this before but I can see why this is a loved product for people who do a more minimal makeup look. Also this is full size but 1.8g seems so small for a highlighter that is like eye shadow size but also highlighter takes a very long time to use up so this is appropriately sized it just is priced the same as highlighters that are double the size which is weird.

This was a good Macy’s bag for me this month I really liked it.
