What is it: Every season Walmart sends out a box of samples and sometimes coupons in their “free” subscription box. The box is a flat shipping rate of $5 and the box is considered free.  There are two categories of boxes “Trendsetter” which you receive if you provide a birth date that has you aged at under 35 and “Classic” if you provide a birth date that has you aged above 35.

It always impresses me how nice they package these Walmart boxes and how much they put in there for the $5 you are paying.

It was really packed this season.

Body Fantasies Layering Collection

This is surprisingly nice for a sample size of a sampler product. These are glass vials with prayers and about half the size of what comes in the layering set. These are not my ideal fragrances. I’m not into cottons but its a really nice generous sample.

These are great I have used them before I find them very useful to keep in the car for anything you get stuck in your teeth on the go.

Great travel size toothpaste. I have used this before and I really like it, it is a really nice toothpaste how much can I say about toothpaste.

I like sleeping masks they are the lazy way to mask so next time my skin is feeling dry (which is rare) I will try this out.

So I hate the coconut hibiscus scent when I tried it in other products from Shea Moisture and I don’t love curl enhancing products so I will probably pass this one.

The in-shower lotion is just weird to me I don’t feel like it sinks in or moisturizers my skin. I like my after shower lotion to make my skin feel super soft and silky and this does not do that for me.

This might be a lotion I can get into I prefer oils to lotions for my body.

Gold Bond Ultimate Radiance Renewal Hydrating Cream

This is a very thick cream that will be great for dry skin this winter. It is a little greasy but not as much as you would expect for something this thick.

I am so ridiculously impressed with how much was in this box for $5 you really can’t beat this box it is such a great sample box. 12 samples in this box and 2 full size.

Boxycharm November 2017 Subscription Box Review

What is it:

Boxycharm sends out 4 to 5 full size  items every month which makes it really unique among the  boxes I subscribe to.  It is a nice change to get all full size products especially for the reasonable price of $21 which is usually less then the cost of one item in the box.

Love a full sized eyeshadow palette. No really I love a good fullsized eyeshadow palette I collect them. And the packaging on this is pretty damn cute with the kittens and the flowers. It is like the internet threw up on it.

Unfortunately the formula isn’t great the shimmery shades are ok but the mattes needs some help.  The mattes are patchy and not super pigmented. They all feel really soft and wonderful but the pigment isn’t where I would like it to be.

This is so not the type of red that I go for. It is not even the formula I go for I like dark matte lips or really crazy colors like greens and blues. This is your very classic movie star cream finish red lip. But omg it is so comfortable it is the nicest feeling thing I have ever put on my lips it really does feel like a cloud is so smooth and doesn’t get in the lines in your mouth it just looks and feels so nice. I want to hate this but I kinda love it but I don’t know that I feel able to pull this off out in public. It does wear decently nice but it transfers on everything.

KNC Beauty Collagen Lip Masks

Oh I have some opinion on this. I was bored so I was like ok let me give this a try. I put it on and its huge first of all and like weirdly wet but not. It does not stay on your mouth well the parts on your lips feels ok but it is really uncomfortable on the skin I definitely didn’t like it and didn’t make the full 15 minutes maybe 10. So I was like ok that is a bust product. Then I looked in the mirror and my lips looked plumped and smooth and lipstick went on really nice after. So I do like the results just hate using the product.

The only thing I can really say about this is why? It is a fucking glitter setting spray why on Earth would anyone want that. It sprays fucking glitter and I shook it really well and there was still glitter all over me all over my clothes I just can’t understand what you would ever want that for.

I linked to the mini brushes but that isn’t what these are these are travel sized full sized brushes. I actually don’t love the mini brushes I find them a little flimsy but these are true mini versions of the full sized brushes so these I am thrilled to have.

This was such an unexpected month for me. The items I thought I would hate, the lipstick and the lip masks, I love and the items I thought I would love, the setting spray and the palette, I am not the crazy about.

Glamour Ghouls Beauty Bag

What is it: A beauty bag for all of us strange and unusual beauty lovers out there. Those of us who like things a little darker and creepier then the average beauty lover. I am a huge horror lover still wear all black all day every day. I would rather go to a metal show then a club any day of the week. I personally think my aesthetic is goth my little pony so this was a subscription right up my alley.

I have review one of the normal Glamour Ghoul Boxes before you can check that one out HERE. Just like that box you have to sign up for this box every month and if you miss the preorder you miss that month but you always can try again next month. They will feature all Indie Brands

This was the inaugural beauty bag for Glamour Ghouls so I was really excited I got this one in November and am signed up for the December one as well. And then I will decide if this is something I wish to continue in the future. (I am not getting the January Bag).

As is par for the course when dealing with small indie brands there are often delays and what not this box did come very late to the end of November but still came before the month was up (more then I can say for my November reviews) so I consider that a success for them on their first box.

So I saw some other posts and a variety of bags were sent out lots of cute plaids and ghosties and I of course got spiders, I HATE spiders, just my luck. Everyone did receive the same products though. I also really appreciate the little card with details on the companies so you can find them because that is hard with indie brands sometimes.

I never paint my nails as you can tell by the hack job in this swatch but omg is this just gorgeous it makes me want to get my nails done it is so pretty and holographic and just mesmerizing to look at.  It is a greeny brown base with multicolored holographic glitter in it. I am keeping this because I just have to maybe I’ll get my nails done.

Rebel Rouge Labs Lip Balm in Blue Raspberry

This is not currently for sale but according to the Instagram account this is valued at $2.50 which is really inexpensive for an indie chapstick and a ton of product. I hate to beat up on an small brand but I do have to be honest this is not my favorite. I do not like pot style chapsticks and my tin arrive all beat up and dented. This does smell just like blue raspberry though. I just don’t know how much use I will get out of it. It is very slick on the lips and kinda messy.

I have a few of these all received in connection with Glamour Ghouls actually one in the Batty Box and 2 that came with they collaboration eyeshadow palette which I loved. Unfortunately I don’t love the formula. It is hard to work with it is patch and dries extremely quickly and while it does stay on forever you can see how dry it is so it doesn’t always look the best. I will keep them because they are such fun colors but it is more of a special look for a picture type of lipstick for me then something I would be comfortable wearing out and about being so dry. This is a very poop brown type of color. Swatched Below.

As is often the story with Indie Brands people have lives and the owner is currently on vacation so I I don’t have any information on this product I will update it next week when the site it live again. This is a gorgeous gold loose shadow mush thinner and sheerer then a Medusa’s Makeup pigment but still very nice and holiday appropriate I may actually wear it this Saturday to a Christmas Party I will update with that picture too if I do. I tend to wing my makeup with how I am feeling that day. Swatched Below.

So the value is there you are getting probably double your money which is great and what I expect out of a subscription of this type. For first impressions I am unfortunately meh about this box but I truly love the concept so will probably keep picking up bags here and there even if it is not a regular monthly thing I do.
