Ipsy January 2019 Subscription Box Review

What is it: Every month Ipsy sends out a cute makeup bag of samples and full size items. You can review your bag for points that you can trade in for reward items. The rewards change often and the range between 300 points and 1000 points. You can get around 95 points every month.

So Ipsy has switched this up a bit it seems we got a like pamphlet with information about all the products in the bag which is a new added touch. I like it much better then the usual throw away waste of paper card they would normally stick in.

This month’s bag is a linen/seersucker blue striped bag with a coral trim it is really cute but very spring/summer not very fit for this time of year it is an odd choice.

Ipsy claims that this is an SB brush but it definitely is not. This is from the SS Silver Glitter Eye Set so I linked to that. The SB set has a different color handle and brush hairs. Anyway this is a really pretty brush I love the clear glittered filled handle. I like the other SL Miss Glam brushes I have tried so happy to have this one.

Illamasqua Colouring Pencil Lip Crayon in Lust

I am always so keen to to try Illamasqua but buying them seems so inaccessible because they are kinda pricey and only can buy them online. I don’t really use lip liners but this is a pretty color that fits well in my lip collection. This is a very soft formula so I don’t know that this will do alot to help keep lipstick from bleeding or to make it last.

This is supposed to be glowy, blurring and keep oil at bay. That seems like alot of promises to live up to me. I have so many freaking primers and they take so long to get through that I will probably save this for awhile. This is a Korean product so the price fluctuates like crazy.

I love masks and I love interesting ones like this so I am excited that I got a full travel size. It is supposed to have 8 orange colored ingredients so I hope this doesn’t turn my face orange.

I like the way Alterna haircare smells but it never works that well for my hair it is very very heavy and weighs my hair down making it look kinda limp and greasy.

This is a weird bad it is alot of stuff I don’t need but all stuff that is really cool that I’m interested in. Minus the brush I always want and use those.

Macy’s Beauty Box December 2018 Subscription Box Review

What is it: So Macy’s has hopped on the subscription box bandwagon and this is their first box. Every month you will get a bag, a $5 off coupon (sometimes $10), 5 deluxe samples and 1 bonus sample. Why not just say 6? I don’t get it.

All the brands will be brands you can find in Macy’s which is cool they sell Mac and a lot of other brands that are never to rarely in subscription boxes.

The cool thing about the coupon is that it is good in stores and online (beauty ships free at Macy’s) also Macy’s does have sales and $5 dollar products so if you are strategic you can score a free product every month. Depending on your state you may still have to pay tax but that is still basically free.

We got a huge full size Rituals Body wash in this bag which is worth the whole cost of the bag I took a picture of it but it seems to have disappeared and I already gave the body wash away so there is not picture for that sorry. But we’ll still talk about it don’t worry.

This month we got one of those sequin bags that you can pet and draw on that are very soothing.

This comes out like a gel and then turns into a foam kinda like shaving cream. This one was in the cherry blossom scent which I am not a fan of much to floral for me but a really nice thing to get in a box.

This is fancy af skincare. it has that fancy floral expensive scent as it is gold. So I shall see how it goes. I am not super into the idea of putting heavy metal on my skin I can’t see how that would be good for it.

I don’t really like Mac mascaras anymore so this will be passed along. They always feel really stiff and dry and not a great look for my lashes. I have like one or two more Mac mascaras I need to get through and then no more.

This is such a beautiful red I love it. I love the formula on these as well they are so light on the lips but opaque and pretty I love them.

This box had alot of stuff that I was happy to give away and its Christmas time so all for the spirit of giving. I love the lipstick though even if they sent two red lipsticks in a row I love both of them.

Boxycharm December 2018 Subscription Box Review

What is it:

Boxycharm sends out 4 to 5 full size  items every month which makes it really unique among the  boxes I subscribe to.  It is a nice change to get all full size products especially for the reasonable price of $21 which is usually less then the cost of one item in the box.

This was a bad Boxycharm month for me. That does happen every so often can’t win them all. There was just nothing in this box I am interested in using or owning. Even with getting the high value item I would have rather had the lower value alternate item.

Wander Beauty Wanderess Dusk to Dawn Eye and Cheek Palette

This palette just is not worth $26 dollars these are meh feeling like they aren’t terrible but they aren’t great and the pans are so tiny and hard to get into. I am probably gona give this away to my younger cousin to play with because this is almost like play makeup size. Swatched Below.

This just reminds me of kid makeup up like I don’t want or need a black pencil eyeliner with glitter. It is actually pretty soft feeling but like what am I really going to do with this? Swatched Below.

This looks like cheap dollar store makeup doesn’t it? Or is that just me? Either way this actually feels pretty silky so I think it might be a nice primer we shall see. Right not I’ve needed my makeup to look good so I can’t risk trying a new primer but once the holidays are over I will definitely try it out.

This think is so itty bitty and cute. I have long hair and have non purpose for this but it is so freaking cute it is like the size of my hand so cute. On that though why the hell is this $75 dollars I can get a BaByliss mini straightener for less then that it seems inflated alot but still cute. Even if I get like no use out of it.

This was like the weirdest box it was everything I don’t want or need or use or anything like that but it was fun. It was really different to get a hot tool in a box so that was like the big whoop of the box even if it is kinda a weird item.
