Macy’s Beauty Box March 2022 Subscription Box Review

Cycle: Every Month

What is it: Every month you will get a bag, a $5 off coupon (that used to it) with a purchase amount which I hate (SUCH A DOWNGRADE), 5 deluxe samples and 1 bonus sample. Why not just say 6? I don’t get it. Lately we have been getting between 6 and 8 items per month you never really know how many things you are going to get.

All the brands will be brands you can find in Macy’s which is cool since they sell Mac and a lot of other brands that are never to rarely seen in subscription boxes.

This was a really meh box. I hope Macy’s isn’t going down hill the way all the other boxes have been I may start canceling all my subscriptions they just aren’t exciting anymore.

Girlactik Rose Oil Petal Gloss

I’m sure this is very nice but I can’t use it so I will be passing it along. I feel like those petals look pretty now but they are going to get so gross and mangled as this is used.

I don’t like the brow wiz the tiny stiff pencil isn’t my jam for doing my eyebrows.

Nudestix Nudies All Over Face Bronzer Color in Bondi Bae

This is pretty light and pretty orange I don’t know where the swatch photo went. It was really creamy and smooth though so I am game to play around with it.

Broken Top Candle Co Sea Salt Surf Perfume

Value: $7.80

This smells really nice but it is very warm and creamy for a sea scent which I haven’t really ever smelled before. It is nice but it is very much a fall scent rather then a spring scent.

Natasha Moor Warrior Beauty Sponge

This is a really nice sponge very soft and squishy and alot of really sharp edges exactly what I like in a sponge.

Girl Power Notebook

This is literally a tiny thin notebook you could pick up at the dollar tree. This really has no business being in this box at all. This is a cheap excuse for an item

I am really not impressed with the box this month. I am glad the sponge is worth the whole box because it is my favorite thing in the box this month. The rest is pretty much repeats or unexciting.

What is it: Every month Ipsy sends out a cute makeup bag of samples and full size items. You can review your bag for points that you can trade in for reward items. The rewards change often and the range between 300 points and 1000 points. You can get around 95 points every month.

You can choose one item in your bag every month which I really like. I will say the quality of the actual bag every month isn’t as consistent or as good as they have been in years past.

Wow I really hate the bag this month its freaking crooked! I would have hated it anyway it isn’t my style but the crookedness is just a whole other level.

Commodity Paper Perfume Scent Space Personal

I have seen this brand advertised a bunch but this is my first experience with it. I don’t like this scent at all it is very strong and heavy and manly. But also scent space personal is supposed to be the lightest of the scents so I couldn’t imagine the stronger levels.

This is super pretty and my choice for the month because I have another one of these blushes and I just love them. The are so pretty and super pigmented.

I have far too many mascaras I rather pass this on new.

First Aid Beauty Hydrating Eye Cream

This is the tiniest eye cream ever I am probably going to chuck it into my travel stuff because it is so itty bitty. I am pretty blase about First Aid Beauty it just doesn’t excite me.

This has a pretty decent weight to it but it is a bit dense for me liking.

Just not super impressed with this months bag.

I love that they focused on black owned brands this month and products you would normally never see in a box unless you specifically sought them out.

Urban Hydration Lemon & Berries Micellar Cleansing Water

I don’t really use micellar waters but this is a pretty cool thing to get if you are some one who uses them because this is huge and will last a while. The vibes of this look like a juice you would drink and that makes me want to use it.

Lovinah Blue Butterfly Stem Cell Deep Hydration Mask

This sounds super interesting it is supposed to be for all skin types with marine extracts and stem cells and such for skin repair. It is also super freaking blue like omg.

They really could have given us a bigger size of this it is a body lotion but this is barely enough for one leg like what. I love coconut scented things but melon scented this not so much so this is gona be a gamble for me.

First I was like wow this is cool you never get stuff like this that is appropriate for curly hair and then I saw the size and price of the full size and not even giving us an ounce or two of this is kinda ridiculous.

buttah AHA BHA Rosewater Toner

This is an awesome product I would love to be able to try it but with the rose water I can’t but I will pass this on and it will be used up and loved quickly. this is the perfect kinda of exfoliating but gentle toner.

At first I was really excited about this box but after going through the prices this feels like a slap in the face and kind of condescending Macy’s always has such a great value and mostly full sizes but why could they not bring that same energy to this box?
