I planned to have a review up before this of a new palette but these past two weeks have been a real rollercoaster of highs and lows and I just couldn’t. The lows were so bad and I’m still waiting for the dust to kind of settle, I’m still to upset and shaken to really even function right now so if this review is kinda subdued. I will probably talk about what happened eventually but not right now.

Common Labs GGlutamin C Real Jel Mask

Full Size: 1 mask

Full Size Cost: $4

Sample Size: 2 masks

Value: $8

I am super excited to try these out but I had already used my new Tarte exfoliating Knock out treatment and obviously can’t layer this on top if I still want to have a face. I really like the whole chemical exfoliation followed by a mask so when I have a moment to unwind I am going to treat myself to this since it is a longer mask like 20 minutes. I like that I got two so I can see if a repeat use increases the effectiveness.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum

Full Size: 30 ml

Full Size Cost: $36

Sample Size: 7.5 ml

Value: $9

I don’t have a whole lot of use for a hydrating serum. I know its super extra but sometimes I’ll use the ones I get on my hands I need more hydration there then I do on my face.  I don’t know if I will use this or pass it on.

SLMissGlam Sparkle Everyday Glam Beauty Sponge

Full Size: Yes

Full Size Cost: $17.50

Um this is almost as much as a beauty blender and it is tiny. It is about an inch and a half tall it is so so soft and squishy though i wish it was a bit bigger but it the closest that I have felt to the texture of a beauty blender. I don’t actually love the softness of the Beauty Blender I like a bit firmer of a sponge but this is really nice. I like when sponges have a flat edge like this one does. I was prepared to not like this at all because I really don’t need anymore sponges, but I was pleasantly surprised.

trèStique Mini Matte Blur Stick

Full Size: 6.1 g

Full Size Cost: $28

Sample Size: 1.1 g

Value: $5.05

This feels so insane on the skin. Like my skin felt primer and blurred and smooth but like wet and hydrated and matte all at the same time it was really wild.  The value on this is sort of an estimate because the full size also comes with blotting papers that are stored in the tube as well it is really cool but made figuring out the value more of a guess.

Air Repair Complexion Quenching Facial Mist

Full Size: 59 ml

Full Size Cost: $9.99

Sample Size: 10 ml

Value: $1.69

I wanted to like this because I like facial mists alot but this didn’t do much for me. The sprayer made me feel like I was being drenched and it really just felt like water not scent no extra boost of hydration or cooling nothing really just water on my face. You ca apparently buy this at Target which is kinda cool.

So there was nothing to swatch this month and this bag almost felt like they sent me a bag meant for someone else this wasn’t really my needs or tastes exactly so it was just an odd month. I am considering not renewing my subscription in September I don’t know that I need so many samples in my life and so many bags but we’ll see.

So we have butterflies this month, I don’t like butterflies or bugs of any kind. Th bag is super high quality this month so it will make a nice gift add on.

Firma Beauty 202 Angled Blender Brush

Full Size: Yes

Full Size Cost: $12.99

I don’t love an angled brush but I will use it. This is on par with the quality and softness of Luxie brushes.  This 202 feels nicely packed which I appreciate.

Pūrlisse Coconut Oil + Coffee Sugar Body Scrub

Full Size: 6 oz

Full Size Cost: $36

Sample Size: 0.7 oz

Value: $4.20

This was an alright scrub it smelled really good and left my skin soft but not filmy. My gripe here is the size this was only good for one use. This little “deluxe” sample size is for sale for ten fucking dollars too what a joke.

Biorace Pore Tightening Pearl Clay Mask

Full Size: 3.88 oz

Full Size Cost: $25

Sample Size: 1 oz

Value: $6.44

This is supposed to shrink pores and brighten skin. I have a really big party I need to go to and then graduation right after so I don’t want to try anything new on my face right now as a safety measure.

Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick in Miss Conduct

Full Size: 3.84 ml

Full Size Cost: $24

Sample Size: ?

Value: $6

I am getting quite the collection of these, and that is fine by me I love the color selection and formula on them.  They are super light on the lips and pretty transfer-proof.  This is a nice deep plumy burgundy color. I don’t like that they don’t list how big these containers are so I kinda guess that it is a quarter or the full size. Swatched Below.

Luna Cosmetics Eye Shadow in Spiced Pumpkin

Full Size: 1.5 g

Full Size Cost: $15

Sample Size: 1.5 g

Value: $15

This is a super creamy feeling eyeshadow much better then their matte or shimmer formulas, this is a really coppery metallic shadow. I don’t use alot of orangey/copper shades so this won’t get alot of use but it is very pretty and feels really nice. Swatched Below.

This was a really good month I appreciate the assortment and I love when we get brushes from Ipsy, brushes are definitely my favorite thing to get from them because I won’t spend $12 on one brush but I’ll spend $10 on Ipsy to get a brush and some other stuff.

So this is my 100th post I feel like that is really monumental I am super proud of myself! I don’t know if anyone has actually read all my posts probably not but I thank you for being here.

As you can see I have changed up the design on this blog quite a bit I am still tweaking it and trying to get it perfect but I’d love to know your thoughts on it.

So this month’s bag came with markers so that you can color it. I colored it in a little just so you can. This is one of the nicer quality bags they have sent out and it is a bit bigger then than the normal bags they send. Unfortunately for I won’t use this because faces without eyes weird me out and I don’t like looking at them.

Too Faced Sex Kitten Eyeliner

Full Size: 0.2 g

Full Size Cost: $20

Sample Size: 0.1 g

Value: $10

This isn’t smudgey which is key for me but it is supposed to be triple black pigment whatever the fuck that means and I found this to not be super black at all. The packaging reminds me of old school Too Faced packaging from like mid 2000s which is super nostalgic to my formative years of buying makeup. Swatched Below.

City Color Glow Duo Cream and Powder Highlight

Full Size: Cream: 7 g Powder: 8.8 g

Full Size Cost: $5.99

Sample Size: Cream: 2.6 g Powder: 3.2 g

Value: $2.20

Another City Color mini palette thing I had really bad luck with the one they sent in January ago. I just could not get it to work and ended up throwing it away when I was on vacation because it just didn’t work for me. I couldn’t really give a used crappy product away to someone I just couldn’t do that. Again this is not full size it is just under half but it feels full size ad I like this packaging better than the full size packaging just very odd. For that price point I feel like they should have sent the full size. This is a highlighting palette that has a cream side and a powder side. The powder is super dark and the cream is super fair so this is like a palette that only half is going to work for an given person. Which is a strange set up The consistency on these seems a lot nicer so we shall see how I get these to work or if they are just as bad as the contour palette. Swatched Below.

Hikari Cosmetics Cream Pigment in Envy

Full Size: 4 g

Full Size Cost: $13

Sample Size: 2 g

Value: $6.50

So this is cool it a pressed cream pigment kind of like those L’oreal Infallible ones. I like the texture but you have to be careful because it can chunk up and ball up if you aren’t careful you have to build it thinly and not dig in the pan. In this packaging I think it is going to dry out pretty fast things like this need to be in a jar with a screw top usually. This is a really pretty shimmery green. I love the texture of these type of eyeshadows so this will definitely get used. These are perfect for a quick five minute out the door look. Swatched Below.

Glossier Balm Dotcom in Mint

Full Size: 15 ml

Full Size Cost: $12

Sample Size: 7 ml

Value: $5.60

This is the thing I was most excited about I have been dying to try this for so long that when I saw this was an option this month I was so hoping I would get it and I did; for once I lucked out. This is super minty to start with you can smell it and taste it and feel the cooling mintyness on your lips. It is a thick slightly sticky balm but in a good way it feels great on the lips and rubbed in to the skin. Now that I know how much I like it I will probably buy up more of these. It is technically a skin salve and it does feel really good and balmy rubbed in to the skin.

Goldfaden MD Solution Facial Detox

Full Size:  50 ml

Full Size Cost: $65

Sample Size: 20 ml

Value: $26

This came when my skin was breaking out pretty bad and this mask did seem to help aclear out a lot of the congestion in my skin and helped draw out the breakouts that were coming up and heal the ones that were already there. So I am a fan of this. I am not a fan of the price, but this is a pretty high value sample for Ipsy.

I am really happy with this months bag I got all things in my wheel house I love 3 of my 5 items and one is $26 dollars so that is more than worth it to me this is the month to beat this year for Ipsy. Oh and checking back in with the leaky lipstick from last month I contacted Ipsy and they sent me a new one no problem that wasn’t leaking so that was great.
