Boxycharm July 2020 Subscription Box Review

Boxycharm

Cost: $25

Cycle: Every Month

What is it:

Boxycharm sends out 4 to 5 full size items every month which makes it really unique among the  boxes I subscribe to. It is a nice change to get all full size products especially for $25 which is usually less then the cost of one item in the box. Boxycharm also joined the customization train and you can choose between a few items to have one in your box for the month. I really like that because Boxycharm was getting to the point where I was only liking one thing in my box and even though the value was there the fun wasn’t anymore.

If you would like to subscribe you can use my referral link HERE. I don’t get anything other then points but would really appreciate it but do as you feel comfortable you are also welcome to use the link in the header that leads to the regular homepage.

You can also review your products and get “charms” which are their versions of points that you can use as money off in their shop.

I want to give Boxycharm the benefit of the doubt here with the state of things but this is the second month it was really lat. My palette arrived broken and after contacting them they said sent me a shipping notification for a replacement that has still yet to ship. I am really not please with the customer service they have been providing of late.

Lavish Quick Color Switch

Full Size: Yes

Full Size Cost: $1

This was listed for $20 fucking dollars on their website but has since been taken down. I own an identical one that I bought at the Dollar Tree for a $1. So I only feel right giving this a value of $1, I linked to a $4 one I found on amazon. These are really all the same they are a bit of foam you can spot clean eyeshadow brushes on to get the powder off so you can keep using the brush but I don’t really find them that useful.

Pur Festival 2.0 Palette

Full Size: 14.2 g

Full Size Cost: $36

This is the the palette that arrived broken I can still use it luckily the shade that broke is the dark glittery black shade that I never would have used any way. Other wise this palette is very very pretty I love the first festival palette they put out. This doesn’t have the same chunky glitters instead it has so really metallic glitter shades it is really pretty but the metallics are a bit dark compared to the matte they chose to put in the palette. The shades are all super smooth and buttery though.

The Creme Shop Clean Canvas Primer in Purple

Full Size: 15 ml

Full Size Cost: $20

I don’t really like products like this. I don’t like cushion products much it is really hard to get the amount of product you wan tout and to get an even application. I also don’t really like purple primers I don’t really feel like they serve a huge purpose. I will probably end up trying this once and decluttering it.

Ciate London Everyday Vacay Coconut Setting Spray

Full Size: 75 ml

Full Size Cost: $22

We don’t get setting spray often so I like when we do but this one is pretty lackluster. It doesn’t smell like coconuts and it doesn’t really provide much staying power.

Clean Skin Club Vitamin C Brightening Booster

Full Size: 30 ml

Full Size Cost: $50

This was my choice for the month. So of course I am into this. I love brightening serums and vitamin c so I am excited to incorporate this into my routine.

This was not a great month for me not alot of things I am happy with a damaged item that still hasn’t been replaced. Not great I feel like Boxycharm has been on a steady downward decline.

This came super late this month I got it like on the 25th or 26th of June and haven’t had time to post about it until now. Normally my Boxycharm comes early in the month but this shipped late and got lost in the mail for awhile.

QMS Intensive Eye Care Day & Night Eye Cream

Full Size: 15 ml

Full Size Cost: $140

This brand I just can’t there is nothing special about the ingredients to warrant this price this is one of those brands that everything has these crazy prices but like who even are they. This is a very basic moisturizing eye cream nice but certainly not for fucking $140. I just fucking can’t with this QMS brand.

Lilly Lashes Triple X Mascara

Full Size: 8.8 g

Full Size Cost: $24

This was my pick for the month I didn’t really need a mascara but this just really kinda drew me in and it was the best of all the choice options. I know this brand makes really large fake lashes so I am hoping this is really good mascara.

Hola Neon Velvet Liquid Lipstick in The Easy Sell

Full Size: 6.5 ml

Full Size Cost: $17

Very mauve and very moussey in texture. I still love liquid lips so this is a great win for me. Not that we can wear lipstick at all because it ends up all over our masks so there it no point but one day lol. Swatched Below

Cover Fx Custom Enhancer Glitter Drops in Halo

Full Size: 15 ml

Full Size Cost: $42

I love these so much I have a few shades that I have gotten in Boxycharm but I think the prices are outrageous for these. I do love them though they give that like otherwordly mythical fairy type of look and I just love them so much.

Lipstick, heavy swatch of the Cover Fx and a blended out swatch

Boxycharm Hello Charmer Eyeshadow Palette

Full Size: 8.4 g

Full Size Cost: $39

I had wanted this from the last month so I am pretty happy that I got this the metallics and the glitters are really nice and I kinda love the random color story. The weird selection of brown mattes don’t really do it for me but that’s alright.

This was a really good month for me I am super happy with everything I got this month. Even if the eye cream is ridiculous and the mascara is sorta boring but useful.

I’m pretty meh about this box the item I would have chosen was sold out so I had to pick something else and I mostly have gotten things that are pretty meh and not my type of products.

Tarte Micellar Magic Makeup Remover

Full Size: 190 ml

Full Size Cost: $18

I don’t love micellar waters they tend to sting my eyes and leave a film on face that I don’t like but I know I will use this even though I don’t really like them.

Elemis Dynamic Facial Resurfacing Pads

Full Size: 60 ct

Full Size Cost: $59

This was my choice but I am not super into exfoliating pad type products anymore but we’ll see how it goes they are like almost a $1 a pad o I am sure to use them.

Pretty Vulgar Uncaged Eyeshadow Primer

Full Size: 10 ml

Full Size Cost: $22

I actually already owned this primer and have been using it for awhile it is a really good primer rght up there with primer potion from Urban Decay. It is a clear primer so it doesn’t blank out your lid or anything like that.

Appeal Cosmetics Ultra Creme Liquid Lipstick in Sugar N Spice

Full Size: 4.8 ml

Full Size Cost: $21

So this is a new product that doesn’t release until July so that is cool Love a new release in a subscription box. This is a liquefied lipstick it does not dry down matte which I am not a huge fan of but it is pretty.

Studio Makeup Ease to Wear Eyeshadow Palette

Full Size: 8.55 g

Full Size Cost: $35

This is really unimpressive. Some of the shades don’t show up on me some are patchy some are smooth it is just really boring and inconsistent.

Well not a great box for me at least. I really don’t even know what to say I will use these things but I don’t really want any of these things.
