Boxycharm February 2021 Subscription Box Review

Boxycharm

Cost: $25

Cycle: Every Month

What is it:

Boxycharm sends out 4 to 5 full size items every month which makes it really unique among the  boxes I subscribe to. It is a nice change to get all full size products especially for $25 which is usually less then the cost of one item in the box. Boxycharm also joined the customization train and you can choose between a few items to have one in your box for the month. I really like that because Boxycharm was getting to the point where I was only liking one thing in my box and even though the value was there the fun wasn’t anymore.

If you would like to subscribe you can use my referral link HERE. I don’t get anything other then points but would really appreciate it but do as you feel comfortable you are also welcome to use the link in the header that leads to the regular homepage.

You can also review your products and get “charms” which are their versions of points that you can use as money off in their shop.

I was pretty meh about the box this month. I didn’t love the choice selections we had and I really am not overly thrilled with anything I got.

Brow Bar By Reema Bombshell Brow Kit in Dark

Full Size: 6 g

Full Size Cost: $37.83

This was my choice for the month and I wasn’t even all that excited to choose this. I chose dark for the brow shade but it means the concealer shade is far to dark for me. the pairing of brow shades and concealer shades really don’t work because far more people need dark brow products with out needing dark concealers. Plus putting a cream and a powder together in one palette is never a good thing it gets all gunky. So this comes with 2 brow shades which don’t work that great for me a highlight shade that I guess is fine but highlighting under the brow is a pretty dead trend at this point and a concealer shade that most people wont be able to use it it very warm and orange. It also came with a very basic brown brow pencil and a really shitty pair of tweezers, as well as a really crappy eyebrow brush. I don’t this this is worth the full price of $42 dollars or the sale price on amazon I wouldn’t even spend $10 on this.

Glamierre Pink Luxe Glitter Brush Set

Full Size: 4 brushes

Full Size Cost: $29.95

Obviously these brushes are cute as hell, but they are not well made they are very stiff and very synthetic feeling these are not quality brushes at all. Will I keep them because they are cute absolutely will I get alot of use out of them no not at all.

Tula So Poreless Deep Exfoliating Blackhead Scrub

Full Size: 82 g

Full Size Cost: $32

Tula is just so expensive so this is probably the best thing in the box because I get to try some Tula products. This scrub does have actual sand in it and I usually hate face scrubs with sand so that has me worried about it. I am bougie enough to use a fancy face scrub as a body scrub if I don’t like it on my face though rather then waste it so it will get used one way or another.

Evio Beauty Pore-Fect Primer

Full Size: 30 ml

Full Size Cost: $29

This is a very basic pore filling primer.

The Beauty Crop Coco Gold Dust Mist

Full Size: 100 ml

Full Size Cost: $18.99

I am sure I have expressed this in the past about how much I despise glitter setting sprays. Why would any one want randomly sprayed glitter all over their face and clothes ruining what ever look you did. This is like for festivals or kids. I’ll either give it away to a younger cousin or hoard it to see if festivals and concerts are every a thing again but I also have shimmer products already that I so rarely use because it was a 1 or 2 times a yr thing and now its a never thing. I’m not sick of doing nothing not at all.

I just nothing in this box wowed me or is really exciting or special. There is literally only one product I know I will use up and 2 that I might use.

Total: $147.77

Total Value to Me: $32 if I am being perfectly honest even though I am keeping all the items except the spray

I know I know I missed last month’s review but holidays and car dying and laptop dying and just the world it got too late make it worth doing.

Ciate London The Velvet Palette

Full Size: 12 shades, 12 g

Full Size Cost: $30

I love the soft touch packaging on this but these colors do nothing for me at all. So I will pass it along unswatched.

The Lifestyle Co. Reset Mist

Full Size: 4 oz

Full Size Cost: $36

This was my pick and I had no idea what it was until it showed up and OMG it is a linen spray I am so excited it smells really nice and relaxing and I love linen sprays especially boujie ones I would never waste my real money on. There is “quartz” in this that is supposed to do, well nothing because it does nothing but also I am pretty sure its just like pretty plastic pieces they don’t look like real quartz lol.

Dr. Brandt DNA Triple Peptide Eye Cream

Full Size: 15 g

Full Size Cost: $82

So when you buy this in store it comes in a jar but for Boxycharm it comes in a tube so you can’t try to return it anywhere (also that’s why things with say exclusively for Boxycharm on them when it is a product that is in the normal line in case anyone wasn’t sure why that was) but I much prefer my eye creams in tubes so they are exposed to less air so that is a plus for me. Unfortunately I have found all Dr. Brandt products to be mediocre at best and not even close to worth the price they charge.

Farmacy Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer

Full Size: 50 ml

Full Size Cost: $38

This feels so nice and light and hydrating my favorite type of moisturizer.

Qveen Studio Dragon Duo

Full Size: Liquid 1.5 ml, Pencil 0.89 ml (that makes no sense)

Full Size Cost: $28.00

I really love the look of this box it reminds me of Nars. I really love all the little dragons on the packaging because DRAGONS! But uh I don’t think these eyeliners are very good. They are not very black a bit patchy a bit meh all around.

This was a pricey box this month around and we sorta got a bonus item with the eyeliner duo.

I am so sorry this is so late. This month has been so so busy and has really gotten away from me. I still have a Macy’s review to come too and that is like a whole thing and I just have not been prepared.

I got the Natasha Denona palette! Happy squeal like these aren’t my go to colors but her shadows blend and last so well that it makes me really happy. I almost never get the really exciting option from Boxy so this is very exciting to me.

Natasha Denona Peak Palette

Full Size: 2.5 g x 5 Shades

Full Size Cost: $48

I can’t find this anywhere to link it leading me to believe that this is discontinued and how it ended up in a Boxycharm. Either way it is really nice her shadows are very thick like you can really feel them when you are working with them in a good way it is a pretty unique texture. Her metallic shades really do look very reflective. This is a very orange toned palette swatched but visually it looks like it is going to be pink but it does really lean very orange and fall toned.

Beauty Creations Boudoir Shadows Palette

Full Size: 13.5 g

Full Size Cost: $9.99

So I swear I have seen this palette at 5 below. Either way Beauty Creations is one of those very affordable brands you see at like Walmart or 5 Below that you think of as make up you buy for preteens. I am not going to swatch this because I wouldn’t ever use this. I can’t comment on the quality it might be great I have no way of knowing I am so not interested.

Jouer Essential Lip Enhancer

Full Size: 10 ml

Full Size Cost: $17

So I was super excited for this because I love fancy lip balms so much it is such a guilty pleasure but i was reading about this and it has a rose scent. Even though it is artificial (I checked the ingredients) and shouldn’t cause an allergic reaction I don’t like rose scents because my brain associates them with allergic reactions. So sad I am going to pass this on though and some one will be super happy.

Royal & Langnickel Moda Ultimate Eye Sculptors Brush Set

Full Size: 2 Brushes

Full Size Cost: $9.00

These are so some of my favorite brushes so I am so happy to have more from this brand, not that i need more I think I have easily 50 brushes from this brand. I love the moda line especially. I have a bunch of the crease brushes highly recommend. This triad brush that come in this set is so cool and I am really excited to play with it it is such a unique shape I feel like it would be great for concealer under the eye.

Peach & Lily Power Calm Hydrating Cleanser

Full Size: 100 ml

Full Size Cost: $28

I am almost out of the last gentle hydrating cleanser Boxy sent me and I loved it so so much that I have alot of faith in this cleanser too even though they are not related at all I just have a feeling this is going to be really good.

It is kinda weird that they sent two neutral eye shadow palettes but whatever. I was really happy with the Peak palette and the brushes and the cleanser so the fail of the other two items really doesn’t matter that much to me.

Total: $111.99
