What is it: Every month Ipsy sends out a cute makeup bag of samples and full size items. You can review your bag for points that you can trade in for reward items. The rewards change often and the range between 300 points and 1000 points. You can get around 95 points every month.
If you want to subscribe you can subscribe HERE and skip the waitlist. That is my referral link so I do get points to spend but I’m not an affiliate I don’t make any money or anything it’s just the same link any subscriber would get.
You can now customize your bag and pick out one sample per month that will get to be in your bag which is a pretty nice change even though it came with a price increase.
How the fuck is it August already the summer like flew by I feel like I blinked and it was over.
The inside lining of this bag is a really pretty acid green but the outside gold and cream snake print does not appeal to me.
I love this eye cream/masK, I use it like an eye cream. It really does reduce lines and feel super nice. This was my choice for the month. Super great. And worth more then I pay for the whole bag.
There’s a while lot of 8s going on up there. This is really nice really smooth and moisturizing but it is unscented/flavored so it tastes and smells like nothing which isn’t the worst thing and probably a huge win for people because that can be hard to find. I just don’t prefer it I like balms that taste like something I enjoy.
I am pretty sure I have decluttered this before for being to peachy but I can’t remember. I do really like this formula though and because of that I am going to give this another shot. But I know I have and love American Doll which is a red.
I am not going to swatch this because these are not my preferred colors and I would rather pass this on new to some one else but the gold does look super pretty. I don’t really enjoy getting eyeshadows in Ipsy because they are usually not colors I would use.
This was a particularly good Ipsy for me with items I will use despite the eye shadow and lower value.
Wow I really used up alot this month and caught back up to being on track with my goals which is great. I was feeling pretty bleh about it for awhile now.
Skincare (10)
Glamglow Bright Eyes Illuminating Anti-Fatigue Eye Cream this was fine it was moisturizing but it wasn’t great it didn’t help with dark circles and I think it was too heavy for me because it took a long time to sink in.

Tula So Poreless Deep Exfoliating Blackhead Scrub this is definitely deeply exfoliating. It really did make a difference in my blackheads and congestion which I have been massively struggling with do to masks. I hated everything about using this though it is really gritty with the sand in it and I hate how sand always sticks to my face and doesn’t wash off cleanly. The gel it is is in is also really thick and hard to spread around. This also warms up a lot when you use it which I like but it doesn’t say that it is going to do that. All that though this does actually work so even though I didn’t like it. I might still repurchase it.
Repurchase: Maybe
Lancome Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate I don’t think this does anything. It does not excite me.
Repurchase: No
Pacifica Mineral Luminous Face Shade Crystal Broad Spectrum Face Lotion hated this who needs a sunscreen full of purple glitter? Like I guess it would be really cool for a festival or something but I wish I had been warned. It was also really thick and hard to blend in I know mineral sunscreen is thicker and heavier but this was so hard to blend in was almost like mud mask like in texture.
Repurchase: No
Elizabeth Arden Retinol Ceramide Capsules (x3) I don’t love these opening the capsules is inconvenient and one capsule is not quite enough but two capsules is too much. This is inconvenient and not my thing. I can’t say I saw much difference in my skin but I will say I love the texture feel of this it is like a dry soft finish on my skin which I like. I really liked this on my hands so that could be a good use for these as a hand retinol
Repurchase: No
Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover this is my all time favorite liquid eye makeup remover. It takes my makeup off so easy it doesn’t bother my eyes or skin at all it doesn’t leave a film on my skin or contacts. I just love it.
Repurchase: Forever and Always
Vitamasques Morning Eye Goggle Mask this was good. I wasn’t expecting it to have foil silver stars on it but it was fun that it did. I didn’t like this as much as I like eye patches because this was like a full-on eye mask but it was brightening.
Repurchase: No
Goldfaden MD Bright Eyes Dark Circle Radiance Concentrate this helped a little but there wasn’t enough uses in this to really see a difference.
Repurchase: No

Sigma Sigmagic Brushampoo (x2) this was a fine brush cleaner it worked well I just don’t love liquid brush soap I feel like it takes more product and it just isn’t as easy for me as a solid soap is.
Repurchase: No
Earth Therapeutics Tea Tree Oil Cooling Foot Scrub this wasn’t that great. It wasn’t cooling or scrubby enough.
Repurchase: No
Degree MotionSense Dry Spray in Stress Control I quite liked this. It worked well the spray waws nice it didn’t get white on my close too badly.
Repurchase: Yes
Venus Pure Shave Cream in Sea Minerals this was terrible. It came out more like body cream and would not blend easily onto my skin and was washed away instantly all terrible qualities in a shave cream.
Repurchase: No
Home Scents (2)
Bath and Body Works Mint Chocolate Shake Candle not enough scent throw for my tastes but did smell nice and like mint chocolate vanilla.
Repurchase: No
Bath and Body Works Wallflower in Paradise Coconut this had very little scent did not like.
Repurchase: No
Lip (1)
Kab Lip Oil in Honey Dew this was interesting I loved how it felt to apply and I used it up pretty quick because I kept wanting to apply it. But it was sticky and left residue on all my water bottles so I liked using it but I wouldn’t really recommend it, it wasn’t hydrating or anything like that.

Makeup (4)
Kat Von D (now KVD) Ink Well Liner in Outlaw once upon a time red eyeliner was suoer hard to find so I would by any and all I did find. Now that isn’t the case anymore and I can be pickier. This was not the best. It was really hard to get enough on the brush to apply it properly. It also skewed more orangey red which isn’t my preference. I will say this was super long wearing like does not come off at all even with makeup remover.
Repurchase: No
Apocalyptic Beauty Glitter in Potion this has been my favorite glitter for a long time I love this brand and they are super affordable and the glitters are so pretty. A lot of the glitter mixes are limited edition but if I can buy this one again I will. But I love their glitters.
Repurchase: Yes
Morphe Brush random brush from a Morphe set. I don’t really care for Morphe brushes they don’t hold upwell through washing for me.
Repurchase: No
Benefit Roller Lash I don’t like this mascara at all it is all length no volume so it makes my eyelashes look crazy because I need volume not length so the really gave me that spider lash effect that I do not love.
Repurchase: No
Lotion (2)
Victoria Secret Bombshell Paradise Fine Fragrance Lotion I really like the paradise scent but I also get sick of it quick because it is very strong and artificial smelling. This lotion was very generic in quality it was fine but not overly special. It really is more for the scent experience.
Repurchase: Maybe
FCS Aloe Me Whipped Cream in Love-Me Chain I don’t typically love the aloe me whips as much but this one was really nice, I found the ratio to be a bit better and the scent was so good I loved all the scents from the Sailor Moon Collection so much.
Repurchase: Yes
Bodycare (1)
Bath and Body Works Aqua Burst Body Wash this was a nice body wash I just don’t care for unscented products. But it was a nice gel that felt nice on my skin.
Repurchase: No
Perfume (2)
Versace Dylan Turquoise this is very summery and nice and bright.
Repurchase: Maybe
Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Le Bubbly I mean I know this range is my favorite and I wear them all but this one I would for sure repurchase which is not the case with all of them. This one was a lot sweeter then some of the others and I really liked it.
Repurchase: Yes
Haircare (9)
Pacifica Rosemary & Mint Scalp Serum this did make my scalp feel really nice but an oil pre shampoo treatment is not a step I want to incorporate into my life. Having to really focus on washing it out and letting my hair be all oily and gross for an hour or two before I washed it just makes the already long process of washing my hair longer.
Repurchase: No, but it does work
Function of Beauty Curly Hair Shampoo
Function of Beauty Straight Hair Conditioner
Function of Beauty Deep Conditioner Booster Shot
Function of Beauty Lengthen Booster Shot
I am going to talk about these above 4 products as a set. I saw that Function of Beauty had come to target and I have seen all the Youtube sponsored videos and had been super curious to try them out. So, I jumped on this chance. And that was a huge mistake. These were terrible all around I hated the product and the packaging and just everything about it. The shampoo was so hard to waws out of my hair and made my hair so dry even while it was wet and it made my hair very tangley. The conditioner was meh it didn’t do anything for my hair. The booster shots were useless. On the packaging side it was super slippery and the spouts got really gunky and gross. I hated these so much.
Repurchase: NO
Fortune Cookie Soap Company Life Finds A Way Moroccan Oil Hair Detangler It did detangle my hair but I wasn’t into the woodsy scent but the Jurassic Park theme totally up my alley.
Repurchase: No
Suave Smooth Performer Shampoo
Suave Smooth Performer Conditioner
These were nice they left my hair smooth and frizz free they weren’t super hydrating but they didn’t strip my color so all in all not a bad set.
Repurchase: No, just cuz I like bougie nice scent hair stuff as a personal preference but it was totally a fine set
Bumble and Bumble Bb. Don’t Blow It (H)air Styler this works it makes my hair dry neatly when I air dry it.
Repurchase: Maybe
Declutter (6)
Lorac Light Source 3 in 1 Illuminating Primer my primer drawer is completely full and overflowing so I had to do a declutter just for the sake of space and I have to be real with myself I will never use this. It is a bit glitter a bit stick and I don’t really go for illuminating primers often especially this which is sorta meant to be mixed in to foundation as a highlight.
Trestique Mini Matte Blur Stick I don’t prefer stick primers so I decided to declutter all the stick primers I have I haven’t tried this.
Temptu Base Smooth & Matte Primer I don’t like any of the Temptu products I have tried and I hate the packaging.
Smashbox Photo Finish Iconic Primer Stick this I have tried and don’t like in addition to it being a stick trimer it is too silicone-y and thick.
The Estee Edit Pore Vanishing Stick this brand kinda sucked which is why it was super short lived. This is weird and chunky and doesn’t really fill pores in as well as a lot of other pore filling primers I have.
Colourpop Ultra Metallic Lip in 3-Way this is metallic by having glitter in it that got all over my face and never really set down which is not what I want in a product like this.

This is just going to be a very low energy low enthusiasm post. We had to put my sweet old German Shepard down. She’s been with me most of my adult life and I am just very sad.
Typically I am not a fan of Ouai products I just find them too heavy and the scent is super off putting to me. So I will pass this along. I do like scalp and body scrubs though.
This is soft if has taklon bristles and it is pretty but it does not feel like the quality of a $15 brush it should be much weightier had have a better ferrule.
I don’t love First Aid Beauty products all the time either. They are also so expensive for like what? I know some people passionately love them and I get that.
