What is it: Every month Ipsy sends out a cute makeup bag of samples and full size items. you can review your bag for points that you can trade in for reward items. The rewards change often and the range between 100 points and 1000 points. You can get up to 95 points every month.

I am not a fan of this orange and yellow bag, but the tassel and only the tassel seems really nice quality which is odd as hell. I also didn’t get alot of the products I was hoping for so that sucks.

This is a really nice lip balm it feels really smooth and moisturizing on the lips. It is supposed to be watermelon flavored (yuck) but I can’t taste it so we are good. It has a really subtle pink shimmer to it that is pretty with out being overly pigmented in a way that I don’t like.

This brush is so soft and fluffy and dense. It is going to be so perfect for buffing on highlighter I love it.

So this comes in 6 shades but this is the only one on the website and it is really hard to find so I have a sneaking feeling that this is discontinued and this is unsold inventory that Ipsy bought so this won’t be something that can be repurchased I’d guess. This is a matte lip crayon but it is pretty thin and not drying feeling. The color is pretty too definitely fall ready. Swatched Below.

This is a  really pretty pink champagne color but it has a lot of loose shimmer in it that I am not a huge fan of. Swatched Below.

Hikari Cream Pigment in Fierce

This is so gorgeous. I love red and burgundy shades so this is right up my alley. I love these cream pigments that are so thick but smooth and so easy to just swipe on. I love this one just as much as I loved the Envy shade I got awhile ago from them. Actually I have really liked all the products I have gotten from this brand I should really try so more of their stuff. Swatched Below.

The cream pigment looks much more orangey/rusty in the photo it is much more red in real life.

Upon second thought maybe I am more happy with this bag then I thought. Even though I didn’t get some of the products I wanted this has been a really good bag with products that feel suited to me and mostly full size. That cream pigment may be full size I just couldn’t find a size online to be sure.

Macy’s Beauty Box August 2018 Subscription Box Review

Macy’s Beauty Box

What is it: So Macy’s has hopped on the subscription box bandwagon and this is their first box. Every month you will get a bag, a $5 off coupon, 5 deluxe samples and 1 bonus sample. Why not just say 6? I don’t get it.

All the brands will be brands you can find in Macy’s which is cool they sell Mac and a lot of other brands that are never to rarely in subscription boxes.

The cool thing about the coupon is that it is good in stores and online (beauty ships free at Macy’s) also Macy’s does have sales and $5 dollar products so if you are strategic you can score a free product every month. Depending on your state you may still have to pay tax but that is still basically free.

Really got this (and all my boxes still waiting on a few of them) really late this month. I also thought I was really going to like this bag when I saw it because it is a see through shiny material but it is so stiff and small and hard to open that it really sucks.

This is such a tiny sample. And so crazy bright pink I don’t like pink lipsticks or like sticky glossy lacquer type lip products at all so this is a no go for me. It is much brighter in person then in the swatch.

This was the thinnest and smallest face mask I have ever used. At first I was skeptical but those qualities made it fit my face so much better then any other sheet mask I have ever tried. It made my skin feel firm and but a little sticky and tacky so I don’t know that I love it but I don’t hate it either.

$4 seems to be a real theme for this box here doesn’t it?  This is the OG of setting sprays I have now 3 or 4 samples sizes which is kinda cool because I have almost a full size amount with all my samples lol. This is a great setting pray it doesn’t make my face feel sticky which I love.

I actually saw and bought this perfume a few days before I got this month’s box so it is safe to say that I love this sample. I love all the Juicy Couture perfumes this one is really pretty but not in a girly florally way. I love it.

Very low value this month. I really liked getting the masks and the setting spray but it wasn’t as good as the previous months have been at all. This is such a hit or miss subscription.

What is it: Every season Walmart sends out a box of samples and sometimes coupons in their “free” subscription box. The box is a flat shipping rate of $5 and the box is considered free.  There are two categories of boxes “Trendsetter” which you receive if you provide a birth date that has you aged at under 35 and “Classic” if you provide a birth date that has you aged above 35.

So uh WordPress has completely changed how posts are written and formatted so please bear with me while I learn the new formatting. Things may look a little odd for a few posts while I figure it out. Normally I would spend more time trying to figure it out but I am on a but of a time crunch with homework and posting right now. My grandmother passed away last week and I have been sad and busy with that so I’m a little off in general right now so bear with guys.

I love these like one time use mineral soaks because I don’t take a ton of baths so like it is nice to not have to save anything. Also lemon and ginger sounds heavenly I am not a huge eucalyptus fan and most soaks are eucalyptus.  The back says to take this on vacation to combat the allergy/cold symptoms you can get when traveling. I think that is brilliant because I always get a cold when I go on vacation so if I like this I will definitely pick up more. The amazon link (Only place I could find it) sells these packs which is nice.

These are always useful and I didn’t realize how cheap their individually wrapped wipes are. I love individually wrapped wipes because they are so easy to just grab one or two to take with you when you know you are going to be gross all day like at a festival or a theme park. I like to feel fresh when I am out all day.

Full size product in the box this is worth half the box you can’t beat that. This is a very hydrating gel mask I am excited to use it.

Love when we get full size products to me the soak is full size even though technically it isn’t. Even the wipes are kind of full size because that how many wipes you get when you would buy a travel size and pay 4x what it is actually worth. This felt like a really good box even if it felt a little Garnier heavy and had a really low value. Since I will definitely use up most of the products I am happy with my $5 spend.
