Macy’s Beauty Box

Cycle: Every Month

What is it: Every month you will get a bag, a $5 off coupon (sometimes $10), 5 deluxe samples and 1 bonus sample. Why not just say 6? I don’t get it.

All the brands will be brands you can find in Macy’s which is cool since they sell Mac and a lot of other brands that are never to rarely in subscription boxes.

The cool thing about the coupon is that it is good in stores and online (beauty ships free at Macy’s) also Macy’s does have sales and $5 products so if you are strategic you can score a free product every month. Depending on your state you may still have to pay tax but it is still basically free.

This is one of the first bags I have liked from from this Macy’s subscription. It is a completely mesh bag so it is great for the beach and outdoors so dirt and sand can kind of just fall right through.

Alot of stuff I am not really excited about so lets get into it.

Clarins Sunscreen Multi-Protection SPF 50

I have wanted to try sunscreen from Clarins so I am pretty happy about this sample. Wish it was a bit bigger of a sample though.

I love the teddy bear shaped bottle that is so freaking cute. This is kinda a fresh but musky perfume.

Tarte Lights, Camera, Splashes Mascara

This is a terrible picture but this is the the waterproof version of the Tarte Lights Camera Lashes mascara that is ok but I don’t love it is a little too clumpy for me. But it is good to have a waterproof one on hand.

Too Faced Hangover Rx Replenishing Face Primer

I don’t love this face primer it is too sticky and too heavy feeling on my skin. It just isn’t suited for me personally.

This is a pretty nice gloss it isn’t super sticky and it is plumping. but I keep getting them and I don’t need more. So I am also not opening this one.

Philosophy skincare never works for me but I love peeling mousse type products. They feel nice even though I know they are not really doing anything.

What is it: Every month our favorite money sucking store Sephora sends out a curated box of higher end samples to try out. Every month you receive 5 samples and a perfume sample. The boxes are customized with a few different variations being sent out each month.

There is a small survey that Sephora has you take that helps Sephora curate a box to your needs. There is also a card included in the box for a complimentary mini makeover and 50 extra points if you purchase something in store and now online too.

I’m just super ready to be done with month so feel free to hate read this some what what boring post from a very exhausted blogger.

Sephora pulled it out this month with new samples I almost fell on the floor.

Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm

I love this cleansing balm so much. It is so gentle and takes my makeup off so well and doesn’t sting my eyes at all and has a nice herbal scent I love this even more then my beloved Clinique one.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

I have been using the grapefruit one but this smells even better then that one. I like it alot it is sorta like a heavy coating good for night time when I am not gona be drinking so you get a little dry. It isn’t my favorite lip balm ever though.

I don’t love the belif moisturizers I find them too heavy and not enough moisture for the level of heaviness but I’ll use it up for travel or hand lotion it is a small tub. I don’t love the fragrance on this but it is light that you can kinda ignore it.

I got two Tarte foundations in the same shade this month. I rarely wear foundation so I actually prefer tiny little foundations because they prove to be plenty for me.

Very small samples and very low value this month.

What is it: Every month Ipsy sends out a cute makeup bag of samples and full size items. You can review your bag for points that you can trade in for reward items. The rewards change often and the range between 300 points and 1000 points. You can get around 95 points every month.

This month was a collaboration with TETRIS!!!!!!!!! I fucking love Tetris and this whole collab was so cute. I was good and didn’t by anything but I love it!

The bag has one of the pieces on it, there were a few designs. AND the pull is a little rubber piece that matches the piece on the bag.

So damn CUTE!

Purlisse Watermelon Energizing Marshmallow Peel Off Mask

This is nice and soft and super cute with the pieces all around it. It is very light plastic though I don’t know how well this will hold up over time. $39.99 for the whole collection is really really good you get 5 brushes, 2 lipglosses, 3 lipsticks, 2 palettes and a highlighter. I love the cuteness factor of this brush so much.

Sugar Cosmetics Contour De Force Mini Highlighter in 01 Champagne Champion

This is a pretty reflective type of highlighter and it is pretty smooth. I really like the packaging it is really nice quality for a mini. It has thick nice cardboard and a magnetic closure.

This smells good but very masculine even though it is unisex. This is made with all like recycled/upcycled ingredients which is super cool. I am really curious to check out more of this company. My girlfriend stole this sample since it is more cologne like then perfume like so she loved it.

So my girlfriend really liked this bag lol this isn’t my favorite product wise but I love the brush and I do like when I get things I can share with my girlfriend in my bags. I also really love the bag alot!
